    Life saver for parents
While staying with parents noticed difficulty sleeping at night. This device confirmed the desatting 70-80s which is dangerous. While my Dad is in rehab, I just asked for supplemental O2 and he is now 98% the entire night. What’s great about this device1. Comfortable rubber ring. Not bulky. Use it on the 3 finger. The wrist band is big. You could wear a sweat band to take off the slack. We have Wellue To O2 unit and this one. The ring is bulky and very noticable on the finger. This rubber band unit is not comfortable as the main part of the unit is on the wrist.2. Accuracy matches a finger O2 Heart rate device and match the hospital grade devices. It won’t capture skipped beats from AFib but few devices do, unless you have an EKG w leads.3. The battery life is great and can last multiple nights so we don’t worry if the device will run out before the end of night or if we forget to recharge one night it will still work the entire night.4. Monitoring on the app using bluetooth on another room. This is key if someone else is monitoring the person.5. Alarm system for O2% or Heart rate. The app will alarm to the parameters you set for O2 and heat rate. You have the flexibility to set the O2 to whatever percentage. Maybe you want 90 vs 88%. Or heart rate at 40 and below. The app will alarm on our Android device (use a cheap Android Lenovo tablet). The device itself will beep and vibrate to wake the person up. So if you are self monitoring, this is great so you wakeup is you are oxygen starved. But you could change your position to improve your oxygenation.6. This produce a report of O2, heart rate, and movement over the entire time it is worn. It gives you% of time in ranges of O2 and Heart Rate. Number of times you drop in hour. Very helpful information to ensure good sleep. Once you disconnect the device it will give you give down of 10sec to reconnect. When out, the session will end. When you select History Tab on the app, the down load will begin. Some changes1. The charger is a proprietary or difficult to find connector. Wish they could upgrade to even a micro USB (older than that)2. Wish the report had more heart rate about lines (30, 70, 110). You have to extrapolate from 30-70. You can rollover with a mouse on the app and it will tell you the value. But the pdf is a flat report. Wish it had the faint lines of 40, 50, 60 etc.Overall, great device. Huge help. My father is more alert and knowing he stays oxygenated during his sleep has improved his activity and concentration levels but also improves organ, heart and brain health.

Essential device to use in conjunction with CPAP use, well worth the investment!
I have been using a CPAP machine for several months. This gives me real-time, easy, accurate, oxygenation information through the night – and a readout I can see in great detail in the morning showing my oxygenation and pulse rate through the night. It also shows motion indicator, so I know when I have gotten up to take my CPAP mask off. I know when I’ve gotten up to go to the bathroom or feed the cat so I have a frame of reference for the data. It is so important that readings are taken every two seconds through the night. It was easy to get used to wearing on my wrist and thumb, easy to pair with the app. Holds a charge for several days, and easy to recharge. Data is charted up to 10 hours, but I had it on for longer once, and it automatically continues into next chart seamlessly, so it would do just fine for continuous usage if needed with just recharging every couple of days (and it indicates when it is low on charge). Other devices only take readings every five seconds or every minute. To be accurate, it really does need to be every two seconds. I can share info with my primary care and cardiologist through the app, or in print outs. It is so easy to use… the only problem isn’t really too much of a problem is that I have my iPad on beside me in bed, and I tend to peek at it off and on through the night just to see what my readings are. I am wearing my CPAP mask more consistently because now I can see the oxygenation consequences of when I am not wearing the CPAP in immediate, concrete terms. It is a bit pricey, but well well well worth the cost.

    Works well
It works well, if you don’t end up throwing it off in your sleep. It helped me decide that I needed to go in for an actual sleep study. And let me know I had sleep apnea before my appointment. The iPhone and Mac app are wonderful.Of course, I didn’t buy it to wear 24/7. I bought it to see if my oxygen level dropped while I sleep. It definitely let me know. You don’t want to try to sleep with the app running….. If you have O2 drops the alert sound will wake you up every time….. the first night, I found out the hard way, and turned off the iPhone app…. You’ll be able to retrieve data in the morning. No need for the sound alert. The second thing I had to do was lower the sensitivity. With it set at 90, the vibrations warning me, I could barely sleep.Don’t get me wrong, you want it to wake you when it gets too low…. But 90 was the wrong setting for me.I changed the setting to 85 which is a more realistic setting. I collected the data each morning when I woke up and took it off and synced. I collect data for a week, and showed it to my sleep doctor at my first appointment….I told her that it woke me one morning and I was aware that I had been holding my breath in my sleep. She said Yes, that’s one of the two types of Apnea. So, thanks to this little device I made the right decision and finally took the official test…. And will need a PAP or CPAP.As for the device… it works.. and I believe the wrist band kept this one on more than the ring one would . (The other one offered by this company)Software 4/5 Stars….What would make it better…… if their software integrated into the iPhone sleep part of the health app, or if they got together with Pillow, and it could interact with their app to give even more detailed reports.
