    Elderly Parent and Safety
This phone rings louds. Since mom is hard of hearing and has dementia we needed to get her something that she should hear n see the flashing red light that also screened out those annoying scammers. I was able to program the phone to where only 8 people are on her allowed call list and the scammer calls are blocked. The allowed list feature is really cool because it announces who is calling so mom knows that ie “Maryann” is calling. The phone programming did take some understanding to get to the allowed list but once I git it figured out – LOVE IT!

EXCELLENT!!! YES… RINGER VOLUME CAN BE ADJUSTED!!!!
I am very pleased with this phone system. It has a large easy to read screen and large buttons. I love the photo speed dial and call blocker functions. It is very easy to set up. Out of the box the ringer is very loud, but IT CAN be adjusted to a lower level by going through the prompts on the cordless handset. It does have a built in answering machine as well. Phone calls sound crystal clear and you can even boost the sound while on a call or slow down the caller’s message while listening to your voice messages on the answering machine which is excellent especially while trying to jot down any notes or phone numbers that the caller leaves. You can even program in reminders for yourself. I have the corded/cordless system and also purchased the extra photo handset extention which works flawlessly with this system. I may get the pendant in the future. I have Voip over service from vonage and all features work great with it including call blocker. I highly recommend this phone system for not just the senior and disabled community, but for anyone who wants an easy to use phone system with large display and excellent sound quality. Also, I was not offered any free incentives for leaving this review. I paid full price for it and I would do it do it again in a heartbeat .💗 💗💗

Purchased for Parent Who Recently Had a Stroke
Update (3/17/24): Some items that I have noticed/learned since purchasing this phone for my mom:1. You may want to disable the Call Block button on the corded phone base. On a few occasions, my mom has pressed the Call Block button which has blocked my number after having called her. You can disable the Call Block function using the cordless phone.2. I’ve found that my mom will turn off the answering machine function because it has the red on/off button next to it. So you may need to check your parent’s phone to make sure that they haven’t turned off the function.3. The phone will ring even if the corded handset is off of the base unit. You just need to make sure that you press the ‘hang up’ button to answer a call in this scenario.I noticed that some have noted that they are having sound issues with their units. We haven’t encountered this issue (yet) and have had the unit for just under 2 years.——-My mother recently had a stroke and we have found that this phone system has been helpful overall. Some pros and cons include:Pros:*The corded phone is best because there is no way that she will misplace the phone.*The phone has small slots where you can put a picture of a relative for easy phone calls. Instead of pictures, we put the names of individuals in each slot.*The corded phone is very loud (ringing) and for hearing.Cons:*The cordless phone can be confusing for her – too many buttons. The M1, M2, M3…. buttons (associated with stored numbers) are not helpful. A stroke victim with memory issues is not going to be able to tie M1 to the first number stored into memory on the corded phone.*The cordless phone sound quality is only okay.We ended up purchasing the accessory cordless phone that has less buttons and has slots for pictures (once again, we put in names into each slot). It’s working well for her.Overall, I would say that the phone is worth purchasing. I initially purchased a different cordless phone with all of the bells/whistles. However, I quickly learned that it was too confusing for my mom. Believe me, you need to get a very simple phone to use. The corded phone is what my mom uses the most. (Note: You may want to purchase a longer cord for the handset/base unit – just so that your relative can sit comfortably to talk on the phone.)Good luck to anyone working with a relative who has had a stroke and ends up having difficulties using devices. It’s definitely a learning experience for me. Hard to believe that my mom actively used an iPhone before her stroke and now finds that using a cell phone is too overwhelming.

    works well
    The volume is adjustable.

    Not worth money
Did not like this phone AT ALL! Bought this for elderly parent with hearing aids . The audio is terrible so difficult to understand and the caller ID announcement . Terrible pronunciation. Also very difficult to use as far as finding the phone book or caller ID review . No separate buttons. Have to go into menu to get this info. Absolutely returning. Simple Panasonic cordless is more effective for my elderly hearing impaired parent

There’s got to be a better option for your mom
This phone is decent, but def has issues.-there are picture slots to assign to speed dialing (decent idea), not really easy to use.-cant adjust the number of rings before the answering picks up (answering machine answers after two rings!)-theres caller id on the hand set (which in my mom’s case is in her bedroom). There is not caller id on the mail phone, which she is closest to all day. It does announve the number, but she either cant hear it or she just doesnt catch the number. In positives, the keys are big, its fairly easy to use and there is a (corded) base phone/answering machine and a cordless phone. There’s got to be a better option.

    Works
It was fairly easy to program the one touch dialing and insert pictures or names. It loud enough that she she can hear and understand more than she could with the old phone. There is no caller ID on the base phone, and no picture dialing on the the cordless handset. There is M1, M2, M3, M4 on the cordless that an older person with dementia can’t understand those buttons. All in all, it’s pretty good but not perfect

Can place Photos on one touch call buttons for seniors to call family member quickly
Positive: does a good job of blocking robot calls, can review incoming calls and decide whether to answer. negatives: Ring tones limited; fairly difficult to lower volume.

Phone looked lovely and I’m sure it would have worked well, but it came with a 2 pin plug and so we returned it as we are in the uk

A trial to get working for my disabled (blind) 98 year old Mum who needed it asap. For the high price I expected better. As with all reviews, it is difficult to assess because we haven’t had it long, ask me again in 6 months(?) Looks like its picture!!

Phone is easy to use. A bit more complicated to set up, someone has to set up for the person using it.
