Great for airline travel if you can fit it in your carry-on
Airlines have notoriously been cutting costs and weight everywhere they can in their planes; the seat cushions on many are barely more than a board at this point. That’s not great when you’re jumping back and forth over the atlantic, so I ordered up a number of cushions, including the purple / pink silicone types, ones made out of high density foam (ie. wheelchair cushions), and a few other inflatables like this. This unit was probably the priciest option I tried (the brand name silicone ones are more expensive, but the generic versions were what I tried b/c they’re just as good.) It still won hands down due to being the right combination of lightweight, space friendly, durable, and of course comfortable. Admittedly, if I weren’t constrained, the high density foam or possibly even latex would’ve won (there’s a reason these are used in office chairs and beds) but those options were simply too bulky. The pink / purple silicone were nice enough to sit on, but they get heavy when you get them in a 2″ or so height, which means they were out. The other inflatables simply weren’t designed as well, didn’t have the same quality of inflating system or closure, and weren’t as tall.As usual, the ‘pro-tip’ about looking for the medical or industrial grade product worked out. This is essentially a clone of a much more expensive wheelchair cushion, and you can see the difference when you compare it to the travel-specific type products. I strongly recommend this product.

This allows me to rent 3 together coach seats with wonderful cushioning
I can rent 3 side-by-side coach seats for across country travel for my wife’s sciatic nerve damage. She can’t sit to fly, so she must lay down during the flight except for take offs, landings, and rough weather. Airlines fly above most weather for smooth flights. I rent 3 coach seats side-by-side at $359 each. Then I rent 2 first class seats side-by-side for take offs and landings and first-class food. My wife sits in the center of the coach seats for take offs, so she won’t risk having them accidently booked by someone else. Then she sits in first class for rough weather and landings, so we are the first off the airplane in turn. What is the advantage? We don’t have to buy use of a private jet for $70,000 or more. Not a bad trade.

Vive vs, Roho
I have always used a Roho since a back injury and subsequent surgery. Unfortunately, I travel a lot and this means bringing my Roho on airplanes, Ubers, cabs, hotels, etc. That said, I have left a few behind. Rohos aren’t cheap. So I purchased this for comparison. First of all, the cover is much thicker and sturdier than the Roho cover. I imagine it will hold up well. It does not feel great on bare legs though. As for the inflatable portion, it is similar to a Roho in how you inflate it. It does have a plastic feel and is not the thicker rubber feel of the Roho. Because of this, I questions its longevity. Who knows, maybe I’ll be surprised. (Rohos last forever if you don’t lose them!) I also just ordered another Roho and was disappointed to see the rubber material appears thinner than historically. From my experience, those that don’t like the feel of an inflatable cushion have them inflated way too much. I would estimate I inflate mine about 50-60%. This gives a comfortable cushy feel. If they are overinflated, they are hard and lose the benefit of having an air cushion. This will serve fine for what I need and the price point helps ease the pain of leaving one behind.

This really works!
This unit was suggested/recommended by my occupational therapist after I had undergone major spinal surgery. I was confined to a recliner for long periods due to weakness and was in danger of developing a pressure sore. Initially, I inflated the cushion to the maximum and found it very uncomfortable. With the help of my occupational therapist, we adjusted the cushion to a therapeutic level and I have been using it constantly ever since. It has eliminated the possibility of pressure sores and proved to be incredibly useful. Highly recommendedâ¦.but be sure to adjust the right level of air.

Needs to be inflated daily.
It is comfortable however it doesnât seem to stay inflated for any length of time, not sure if itâs a valve problem as the person using it is a small person. Considering the price I expected it to hold air for a longer time period, and, not necessarily needing to be inflated daily.

Great size for wheelchair bound for general wheelchair
Husband has a light weight outdoor power wheelchair. This cushion work great for providing comfort and avoid pressure sore.I mean it is not gonna be as great as the ROHO brand. But the price is cheaper and more portable for outdoor bring for travel. We also have a heavy duty 450 lbs wheelchair that use ROHO cushion so this is a close substitute for a smaller wheelchair for outdoor use

Not as advertised and way overpriced for what you receive!!!
Item not as described:Actual measurements 16.5″ x 16.5″ x 2.5″ so it is smaller than described in the listing. The valve does not allow you to completely inflate the cushion for firm support, with the tube pushed all the way up on the valve grip once you pass a medium inflation point the air simply leaks out of valve. Turning the valve anywhere in between fully open and almost completely closed while pumping air into the cushion had the same results of the air leaking out of the inflation valve while trying to inflate the cushion. While the inflation valve does not leak when completely closed and the cushion does hold a medium firmness you cannot fully inflate the cushion. My neighbor said they can use it so I’m giving it to them and going back to using ROHO cushions rather than trying anymore of the less expensive version here on Amazon.

Muy bien cojÃn. El grado de suavidad se ajusta fácilmente. Aunque no se menciona, viene con 4 parches para reparar los agujeros que le salgan.

After a full work week, 50 hours in the seat, I can comfortably say this is a fantastic cushion. It fits across the seat well, and despite the variable conditions of the seats themselves, provides a uniform comfort with no pressure points. The cushion is well made, the cover is breathable fabric which is neither slippery or grippy. There have been no leaks or need to readjust the inflation the entire time. The key to comfort here is to only inflate the cushion as much as needed to eliminate the discomfort. If you fully inflate the cushion itâs no better than any other pad. You want this partially deflated to work well.Iâve used similar seat from AirHawk (Roho) on my motorcycle, and had great experience there, but at much higher cost. To me this provides the same level of comfort at a much more agreeable price. If you are a professional driver who spends all day in the seat, you canât go wrong here.

We donât have experience with other makes of this type of cushion (so I canât really say whether itâs durable etc; it seems well made so far), but have been happy with this. My mum in law is very underweight and recovering from a hip break. She has been very uncomfortable sitting and lying. We got this (and coincidentally an air mattress from the same company). Had a quick try before she used it and thought it was good. The proof though was my mum in law, who, whilst still not well and often not noticing much, did comment unprompted about how she was more comfortable in the chair. Good enough for me for now.

Seems as good as my ROHO and less expensive!
