Most practical and comprehensive!
I ordered multiple books for caregiving and I had highlighted something on nearly every page of this book when I was done. This is the most practical and encouraging book that I have read on caregiving for dementia. It cover the whole gamut from guilt to finances to meds to therapists/doctors, etc. Lots of resources in the back and tips to keep your own sanity and when it may be time to move to a care facility. Buy this for every member of the patientâs family!

Great resource for caregivers!
I cannot recommend The Caregiver’s Guide to Dementia enough! As a caregiver for my mother who was diagnosed with dementia, this book has been an absolute lifesaver. The practical advice and tips provided in the guide have helped me navigate through the challenges of caregiving, while also taking care of myself. The clear and concise language used in the book makes it easy to understand, even for those without a medical background. I am beyond grateful for this resource and would highly recommend it to anyone in a similar situation.

Good info
This book was really informative about what youâre going to be dealing with and how to better deal with it some of the stuff in there not even my fatherâs doctors had mentioned to us and we had to mention to them to get done like the therapy part of it.

Dementia book plus a free gift
Wonderful book , I haven’t been able to sit down and really read it yet but the little that I have read is written well and interesting. They included a second book free about being a caretaker . This book was about a couple who were forced to deal with the wife developing MS, leading to her complete disability and eventual death. It was an a disturbing reality as , though the vendor had no way of knowing of course, I am dealing with my own MS. It was rather disconcerting to read her devastating course of her disease. The disease symptoms I have are quite different from the authors wife but it was a bit scary to read . The book about dementia I think will be helpful and I am glad I ordered it. The order came quickly , was packaged well and would be a great addition to anyone’s collection that is dealing with this horrible disease in their family. I must say it was a nice thing for the seller to add the second book as a gift , I know it would be very helpful for others to receive.

Amazing!!!
Just what I needed!!!! My grandmother was just diagnosed with vascular dementia, and I was at a loss as what to do. This book is very well written, easy read, yet packed with How To’s and suggestions not only as to what to do but also what to say and not say. It’s also very real, the author is very honest and realistic as to what can happen, everything I read was just what was happening, and the suggestions really work. Another thing that was really useful was the definitions at the begging of the book really helped me understand what dementia is and what it is not. I recommend this book to anyone who has no idea what to do when facing this new stage of their loved one’s life. Dementia is really frustrating and confusing for all involved, this book helps deal with that and help the caregivers process their emotions and gain a positive perspective and avoid mistakes.

My husband has Parkinsonâs disease with advanced dementia. This books has helped me understand what to expect and how to approach it. I tend to want to highlight every line because it is all very applicable to things I am experiencing.

This is a very informative book. The printing is grey. I wish it was black. It’s not great for senior caregivers with eye issues. It’s still a very well written book!
