Works Well
Ideal for helping dress after back surgery. The length 31″ is about right for dressing. The tool is very light and perhaps not so robustly made as other longer grab tools I have. However it is serving me well at present.

Creaky but usable
The grabber is so creaky that it freaks my dog out. I tried uploading a video, but Amazon wonât let me. However, it can pick up something as small as a pill, so it makes it helpful for small items as well. Good value for its price

Breaks about 3 months later than other brands.
If you, like me, are in a wheelchair, this grabber allows you to pick up or grab things from the floor or out of the fridge. Careful not to break stuff! You might THINK you have it grabbed, then, oops!Richard Brown, long time Amazon customer.

I don’t really like it
I pick up trash around my city 3-4x a week, and I rely on these grabber sticks for 99% of the labor. I have been using another brand for the past 4 years and it’s performed flawlessly. I decided to try this one to have as a backup in case one of those breaks.Everything about this one is different than my old one. The “trigger” is sticky and squeaky, which is annoying. Maybe this will go away the more I use it, I don’t know. I might try spraying it with WD40 to make it easier to squeeze. The gripper end is okay, it picks up the same way my other one does. Sometimes I feel it’s not as strong, but maybe I just need to get used to it.For the price, this is fine for my needs. I definitely prefer my other brand and will likely not purchase another one of these in the future.

Hard to decide! Buy Both!
The photos show the 2 grabbers that I purchased yesterday from Amazon Prime. The Pikstik is an exact replacement for the one I have had for many years now. The folding one I bought from Amazon Prime as well.I drive a mobility scooter and I have had the Pikstik unit secured across the top of the tiller and would perfectly set behind my 2 rear view mirrors and secured with 2 small clips. When I would spot something that would be a road hazard to cars by getting picked up by a moving vehicle and shot into a passing vehicle or a vehicle following it, I would swoop in and grab the object off the street and then place it off the road or if small enough I would toss it into the trash bag that I carry with me. I use the grabber almost every time I take the scooter out for a ride. I also have a 30â extension magnet for the metal objects that I find in the road like lug nuts, screws, nails, construction staples, hubcaps and items that I donât know what they are. As a retired Army veteran, I used to be a helicopter mechanic and crew chief on Hueyâs and unfortunately I was involved in an incident where a piece of metal was picked up and thrown into my tail rotor as the pilot lifted off the tarmac. The object destroyed the tail rotor causing the craft to spin out of control and the pilot had to slam us down HARD which caused horrific damage and injury to the pilot. I was lucky enough to only sustain minor injury. The one BIG rule that was always talked about was F. O. D. (Foreign Object Damage). Any object that is on the ground is a potential hazard to any aircraft so major attention is focused on making sure that no FOD is on the tarmac. The same applies to roads and streets and anywhere that vehicles travel. An object can be picked up by the tread of a vehicle and either right then or maybe later when that vehicle is on the highway or freeway and has enough speed going that the object stuck in the tread of the tire suddenly lets go of it. This object can and does catapult out from the tire and can easily damage a vehicle that happens to be behind them. I have seen objects penetrate through windshields or strike the body of the vehicle causing serious damage/or injury. So in my small town, while out and about I take it upon myself to help remove potentially dangerous objects from the streets in our town.So enough of the FOD stuff. I have always had the Pikstik non folding grabber handy for me to use. So why did I also buy the folding one? Well I sometimes, rarely but sometimes I wished I had 2 grabbers to aid in some of the larger items that I find in the streets. The other day I somehow managed to snap one of the grabber legs off from a branch sticking out of a large bush. I attempted a JB Weld repair with somewhat less than stellar precision and decided to just purchase a new one.So here it is. The Pikstik has a price tag of around $25. The folding one was $10 on a 50% reduced price from $20. The photos show that other than the folding difference the 2 grabbers are identical. I will install the non folding one back where the broken one has been riding for years. The folding one has a little snap clamp that I have installed under the seat of my mobility scooter and I can access it easily when I need a second one to assist with the Pikstik. Both of these grabbers seem to work identically and equally. One $25. The other $9.95. Hummmm. Big difference in the price for what? Iâm not sure. But I am sure that I needed to replace the broken one I have with the same. I havenât used the folding one yet but I can tell that it will probably perform equally as well as the non folding one. My recommendation would be as followsâ¦â¦Buy both of them and enjoy! I will! Now, I have 2 fur-babies that are ready to go for a ride today in âtheirâ scooter. Hopefully I will try the folding one today.I will be posting this same review on both of the grabbers pages.

Reach out and grab this grabber.
We already have 2 grabbers from [boxstore], but they are never where I need them. I ordered this for use near a large dog kennel. Crawling in there after toys and bowls is just getting too hard ;). When it arrived, I discovered it was hinged. Not happy, but thought I’d give it a try. People, this thing is SO MUCH BETTER that my other two. The grab ends do a better job of grabbing, the handle is very easy to use, and it can handle any weight I need it to handle. I don’t write too many reviews, but I was so pleasantly surprised with this buy I wanted to pass that info on to you.

I have lower back problems and ask my husband to pick up a lot of things for me. Heâs patient but it must be a nuisance. So I got this gripper and itâs great. Picks up a single piece of paper or a piece of clothing. Iâm surprised and very pleased.
Ellie
Used it after surgery to avoid reaching too far. Works well.
