It’s great, no one wants to use a commode, but this one is really nice
I bought this for my husband who is a large and tall man. 6’3″ 300 lbs. The Commode is very stable. The wide bench is perfect for comfort and the ability to move and scoot onto. The arms are easy to drop down and put back in place, he can do this himself. The back comes off too and that was more important than I thought, ease of access. The bucket is deep and keeps things below and out of the way. Good support for the bucket and ease of placing and replacing. I used (Carebag) Commode Liners with Super Absorbent Pad. The bucket is a standard size so you can use many other brands.I only have one suggestion for improvement, include a lid that fits the bucket while it is in place in the chair. They supply one, but it can only be used after you remove the bucket from the chair. So far, this has been a very good purchase.

    Sturdy comfort
I just unpacked this commode that I purchased for my semi-paralyzed large husband. I was impressed from the first sight. Sturdy? Without a doubt. Comfort? He hasn’t used it yet, but in comparing this commode to the previous one he had, the other one was a lightweight. It was rated for 350#, but I never felt like it was going to hold up under his 285#. With all of the issues and adjustments we’ve needed to make since his stroke, I’m relieved to know that worrying about his safety and comfort at a time when he needs to relax is a thing of the past. I’d definitely recommend this commode.

    Great seller
Great sellers! I bought a bedside commode that my dad ended up not needing. My sister had already purchased a duplicate. Seller was quick to respond to my messages and provide a return label and processing the return. The chair itself is good. Although it’s meant for people of a larger size, I would recommend it for anyone of average size. It’s stable and I liked that both side rails can fold completely down making it easy to shift from the side of the bed to the commode. The pot was a little hard to remove, but after watching the instuction video we figured it out. I would recommend buying a cushion made for bedside commodes for comfort, some may find it uncomfortable. As with all bedside commodes, a hard plastic surface is necessary for easy cleaning. I would definitely recommend it.

    Sturdy. Satisfied
Overall very satisfied with this. My mom weights about 230lbs. We got this not because of weight alone but mostly for stability. She can’t stand. So she had to scoot using a sliding board or just from bed to to the commode. It’s sturdy enough that she can do it on her own without the thing shaking or tipping over. She feels secure doing it which is what we wanted. Also because she scoots, we had issues with the seat coming off the traditional drop arm. The design of this makes that no issue. And the the actual Pan is very very secure. It’s not going anyone unless you are trying to remove it to empty it. The drop arms do sometimes get off track and get stuck, so you have to pay attention so that you do not damage them pulling them back up. That is the only issue. So far 5 days it has done exactly what we needed. My mom uses this thing every 2-4 hrs at night. Also it’s much more comfortable for her to sit on.

Perfect–for something that never comes up in conversation
There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can walk and those who can’t. While I was in rehab, my well-meaning (and walking) friend bought me a bedside commode consisting of nothing but chromed pipes with a potty seat in the middle. I cannot walk up to it, turn around and sit down, and there was nothing to transfer-slide on! This commode is for people who cannot walk–like I was trained to use in rehab. It has foldaway armrests and a nice, broad, hard surface to transfer-slide across to the sitting point. It is sturdy, won’t tip, and is easy enough to slide out of the way. Minor detail: it is advertised to support 500 pounds, but a 275-pound friend visiting me sat on it in lieu of a chair, and after a few minutes, he got up, saying he had “dimpled” it. Sure enough, in a few places the surface show a small white point as if a screw or some high point were being pushed through the panel from below. It was nothing more than a little discoloration of the surface–there isn’t the slightest loss of function, just a sort of maximum-load warning.

    Perfect
After being in rehab for 10 weeks I needed this to use in our half bath. Very sturdy. Thanks.

    A Must buy; sturdy,safe
I have been using this for two weeks. Had surgery on my foot and I have absolutely zero weight-bearing for 15 weeks. That means no walker for me. So I pivot from my lift recliner to the potty chair .I am 59 year old 270 pound female. I am Strong but taking no chances. The height adjustments are fantastic, product is extremely sturdy & safe. I do not feel unsafe putting all of my weight on this chair. Sliding the pot / waste reservoir in and out is simple & there are absolutely no problems with it being secure. I purchased the liners which is a must have. Easy to tie up and put in garbage can -no mess whatsoever. Do not look any further. Although this looks like, has the strength of, and is a bariatric chair, it is the only way to go. This is tall enough to sit above your existing commode as high as you would like it. I Do not trust the ones that sit on top of the toilet bowl. In fact I’m buying a second one to place in my bathroom above my existing commode. Will use the one next to my recliner at night when groggy and when It could be unsafe for me to navigate to the bathroom. Looked high and low read all the reviews and did my homework. Came in a box in perfect condition.

Strong frame , easy to fold arms
Strong frame doesn’t feel like shifting around when you transfer to it from a wheelchair and I am 450lbs , the arms fold down nicely and don’t stick up at all . I pushed on both arms to shift my position and they didn’t flex .
