This one worked for me
I have an old office chair at home that has virtually no cushioning left in the seat. Sitting in it causes pain in my butt, literally; my sciatic nerve also hurts. I’ve tried a few other pillows and cushions, but nothing really helped until I found this one. It adds 4 inches of cushion to the seat, and has all but completely eliminated my pain. I’ve only been using it a few days, but so far it shows no signs of flattening out; I can feel how cushiony (and yet still firm) it is every time I sit down. It also stays put in the chair; all the other things I tried had to be constantly adjusted to keep them in place. Not this one; it stays right where it needs to be. This was also less expensive than a lot of the other options, which was also a factor in my deciding to give it a try. I’m sitting in the chair on this cushion all day every day, and it helps tremendously; I would recommend it to anyone who is in a similar situation.

I got this for my 81 yr old mother, because she broke her back, and she keeps shrinking and can barely see over a table to eat or play bingo lol.It definitely helps and she really likes it!!! It’s very light weight so she can even carry it, although there’s no handle so that makes it hard to hold, but she tied a elastic cord around it and carries it that way. It’s nice and thick and been about 6 months of daily use and it has not changed size or went flat or anything. Works great for what we needed it to do, she can see over the table now!

A Solid Entry-Level Cushion
I was between preferred options in terms of more advanced cushions and really needed to get something that could work for my daily wheelchair use. This Essential Medical Supply Rehab 1 Cushion with Higher Density for Additional Support is an affordable entry-level option that is probably best for those with very basic cushion needs. For those who need stronger support to prevent pressure sores, this is not a viable option.This is an 18″x16″ cushion that fits nicely in my wheelchair. It’s 4″ thick and this is what I’ve been used to and really needed. This is also an Amazon’s Choice. The fill material is foam. The cover is machine washable.If you’re someone who needs basic cushion support, I think this is a tremendous option. It’s soft but also has some firmness to it. I had some difficulty using it in the wheelchair as I transfer by holding onto the chair and I found this cushion had a little too much give to it. While it’s considered a “medical” cushion, I’m not sure I see it as effective for a wheelchair user other than, perhaps, those who are primarily stationary and don’t have active lifestyles. I find it reasonably comfortable for short-term use, however, on the occasions I’ve used it for an entire work day I’ve been less happy with it.For those sitting in chairs at home or office chairs, I can definitely see this being an effective and affordable option.Overall, I found this to be a decent short-term option but I was definitely happy when I was able to move to a more customized cushion specific to my support needs. However, this cushion from Essential Medical is a solid entry-level cushion for basic support needs that don’t involve pressure sores or ulcers.

Estaba buscando un cojín para silla normal para un adulto mayor, ha sido de gran utilidad para dar mayor altura a la silla y le aporta comodidad. Tiene una funda de color oscuro. Hasta el momento no se ha deformado. Lo recomiendo!
