    Absolutely Love This…
We’ve had recent medical issues pop up and we ordered this. For anyone who said this wasn’t sturdy, or strong…???? What? Wish we had seen this one before we purchased that one we have in the bathroom all tangled up in our toilet. That other one really makes you feel like you’re squeezed in when you sit on the toilet and it’s very awkward. I refuse to use that restroom because of it. This is plenty wide, yet somehow does not take up the amount of floor space of the other one, nor is it such an eyesore or as restrictive as the other one. However, we are not using this for the toilet. We’ve put it beside the bed and actually set the bottom of the bed on top of the bars which provides enormous stability. I have been unstable of late and falling out of bed some nights. This totally stops that as I centered the opening between my upper back and my knees. I can get out of bed swinging my feet down whether I’m facing backwards or forwards. Totally awesome. Getting out of bed was a chore (arthritis) No more and I certainly will not just flop off onto the floor with a thud. The arms brace me because my upper body will be stopped by the arms (cushioned) and my legs will naturally drop to the floor first, almost putting me in a standing position. Also, we tried this out against my husband’s lounge chair. The awesome thing is that since there is no cross bar, his electronic foot rest can be raised up freely when this thing is placed in front of his chair. It might slide on flooring, but it’s not sliding on our carpet at all. The construction is pretty strong. I wouldn’t run over it with a vehicle, but I cannot imagine how you could possibly damage this thing. It is sturdy. My husband said that he was going to glue a rubber strip to the bottom of the floor guides anyway to ensure it won’t move. But he doesn’t think that’s really necessary. The upshot is that we recommend this thing. Very pleased with not only the price (the other one we hate was double the cost of this one) but the design. The little basket can be put on either side… good place for my Kindle and remotes…. good place for his remotes and a few other items. Goes together in no time. My husband is always complaining about putting things together and we generally leave the house when he’s putting anything together. He put this together in minutes and we didn’t hear any cursing, yelling, snarky remarks about it not being made in America or “WTH were those morons thinking?” shouts!! Utter silence until he said, “Honey, it’s together! Boy, this is nice!” Brilliant!

    Not wobbly!
Wow, this was a very calculated purchase with so many options to choose from. I was mainly concerned with sturdiness and this one was the right pick! I measured appropriately before ordering thinking it still might fit a bit tight in our bathroom but it’s perfect! It sits right under the toilet paper holder on the wall, the legs don’t stick too far out from under the toilet, minimizing tripping over them, and the sturdiness is incredible. Made of durable metal, super easy to assemble and looks great in our bathroom and not bulky. Therefore others won’t have any issues using the toilet. It’s lightweight enough to move but heavy enough to hold a person of good weight. Magazine rack is a win! I can put my dads diapers in there for easy access. It also fits over my toilet that has a bidet installed on it without obstruction. Unbelievable! Cuz I sure did not want to remove it. Also, another plus is that it does not tip if leaned on one side. This useful if my dad needs to hold onto it to get to the sink. Amazing purchase and totally worth it! I highly recommend!

Ideal for those that have knee or hip problems, and can be used for armless dining room chairs.
This is the 2nd toilet rails I bought. Using both for chairs rather than a toilet.Pros: Easy of assembly. Sturdy, heavy duty. Price is very reasonable.Cons: None.I bought the first one several years ago for my toilet and it worked great. Have knee problems, this allowed me to get up by using hands and arms to lift myself. I’ve moved since and the rails system did not fit in my current bathroom, a bit too wide, zo it was stored in my basement for a while.I have a cafe table and armless chairs in a sun porch and used the rail system on the chairs to help me getting up, worked perfectly, will eventually have to paint the white tubing a darker color though. Of course I then wanted to have the rail system for both chairs so another was bought. After looking through Amazon’s site for hand rails for armless chairs, these were absolutely the best I found, even though they are listed for toilets, they work perfectly for armless dining room chairs.

Great assistive device for standing and sitting.
I recently broke my ankle and have had to be non-weight bearing for the last nine weeks. Makes getting up and down really hard. Rather than a seat with handles, which wouldn’t work with our bidet, I opted to get this type of restroom safety rails. The stand is sturdy, and the side holders have really come in handy. It didn’t take very long to put together (my husband did it for me and he had it together in minutes!) The height of the rails are the perfect height to make standing up and sitting down much easier. The soft grips on the side are very comfortable on my hands. The only reason this didn’t get five stars is because it moves. I haven’t had an issue with it tipping, but I’m always careful to place me hands in the middle as recommended by the manufacturer. But even so, this will slide sideways and could cause the user to become unsteady. Our toilet is about a foot on each side away from the wall, so the solution to this was easy enough, we just put some small boards on either side making it secure and unable to shift to the side. It will still slide backwards and forwards a little, but because of the bar along the bottom, it can’t slide backwards very far and sliding forwards doesn’t happen very often. Usually because I accidentally pulled it when I was grabbing hold of it. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend it for those who need a little help in the restroom.

    Just what I needed!
I have great difficulty getting up from a sitting position and it is imperative to use my arms to propel me upward. Of all the various products online, this one was most suitable for my needs. I also have other Drive Medical equipment (two walkers) so I know the brand and its quality. Easy to put together. The only drawback some might find is that the height is NOT adjustable. In my situation, that was not a problem.Like most Drive products, it is well made.

    Perfect for senior use.
I got this for my dad who has a Parkinson’s disease. It is sturdy and very well made. He loves it.

this product is wonderfully strong and stable. my daughter found it easy to assemble which took her no time at all.i i found the fact that it helps me feel safe and secure is worth the cost. it easily could be more expensive. why settle for a wobbly one when you could get a sturdy one for a few more measly dollars.the rubber handles are in the perfect position. it also fits the space from the toilet. It would be reprehensible of me to not point out that my toilet is immediately to the right of the entry so you can actually trip and possibly fall as the stability bars stick out maybe 5 inches. if your toilet isn’t the path of walking and you have a large bathroom you might be okay. so give it consideration before you choose this or any other toilet aid

My mother-in-law is a very light person. When I first saw this rail I was a bit worried because it is quite light, but it has proven solid and really useful. It does not take much space in the bathroom, and it has a small rack for reading material.
