Perfect Wheelchair & Fabulous Price!
We found ourselves needing to get a wheelchair for an upcoming trip. This wheelchair came fast and was so easy to put together. The super cool blue color gave alittle character to the chair and was much appreciated. This wheelchair is made out of high quality, is easy to fold up, is lightweight and perfectly smooth to drive and ride in. I highly highly commend this wheelchair for anyone needing one and you cant beat the quality for the great price.

Excellent value for the money
I broke my leg last week, and the wheelchair belonging to our family was designed for my super short mom and was large and cumbersome. I landed on this Drive model, and it works so very well! The size is perfect, allowing for easy movement through my 36â doorways. It would be easy enough even with 32â doors, I think, but Iâm not great at steering just yet. The 16â seat on this one works well for me, size 10-12 in clothing and a bit larger in the hip and thigh. Sometimes the wheel rubs against the plastic side panel due to my girth, but a readjustment solves the problem. I wish the plastic panel was a little more firm, but it works for meâ¦a person with larger hips and thighs might want to consider the 18â or 20â model. It has a very solid build and rolls smoothly. I got a small hanging bag to hold my phone and other needs, but it interferes with the wheel and handholdsâ¦I have a clip-on stroller/wheelchair cup and phone holder on the way today, which I think will be a much better option. I canât yet speak to longevity, but we have a smaller Drive model chair (on four small wheels) that has endured a lot of family use, including a trip to Disney World with my daughter and her broken toe, that is still going strong and getting passed around the fam. I feel very good about the brand, and I think this chair will be another one that gets lots of use in the future.Upon delivery, the chair is fully assembled, other than the leg rests which are easy to install with no tools necessary. The chair arrived without the elevated leg rests, unfortunately, so I immediately went to the link on the product page to ask about getting them sent. I was assured they would ship in 2-4 days, but two days later, they were on the porch via FedEx. EXCELLENT customer service, there. The calf rest is not adjustable, but itâs perfectly comfortable for me, 5â4â tall with average length legs. The length is adjustable, but even on the most extended setting, itâs not quite long enough for me to keep the footrest in placeâ¦I have to fold back the foot rest to use it in elevated position, as I am not supposed to have any pressure on the leg for quite a few weeks to come. The foot rests will be perfect when I can finally bend my knee and lower the legs, so this shortcoming doesnât really matter to me. (Pics show only one leg rest attached, but there are two.)This is an all-around solid choice, and itâs just so affordable that any detractions are just not important enough to worry about. I am thrilled with this chair, and grateful to have something to allow me some mobility.

Worth every penny!!! You can’t go wrong with the Blue Streak!! 😀
I broke my foot and couldn’t get an appointment with the orthopedic clinic until more than a week after my accident. The ER gave me a worthless air splint which gave no support or protection. The crutches were a nightmare and I fell twice more the same day I broke my foot. For 2 days I tried to get around. I even used my rolling office chair in the house, but I couldn’t take it to appointments. My foot was getting worse and I needed mobility. I am a very frequent Amazon shopper and noticed this wheelchair…The price couldn’t be more reasonable for what you get. It came assembled, with the only attachment being the foot rests, which are very easy and takes seconds to put on and take off.* There is an Allen wrench that comes with it for any adjustments needed*I was thrilled to get into my new chair!! This is an amazing product! I am so glad I got it. It was very easy to maneuver. It went over the carpet easily. The front wheels constantly turn, so sometimes it won’t go forward because the wheels are sideways, but it is easy to shift to get them going again.I love that the foot rests can swing to the side to get out of the chair easily. Another smart feature are the arm rests that can be flipped to the back for lower tables.I have narrow halls and doorways and this baby can turn on a dime once you learn to control it. It has really made a huge difference for me helping me to be mobile with minimal weight bearing on my broken foot.I took it for a small test run at the grocery store. My friend was able to fold the chair and place it in the car with no problems.*** It does weigh 40+ pounds. This is the only con and question it being “light weight” but I am sure other wheelchairs weigh far more***With that being said, she easily pushed me inside the store and then I took it from there.I don’t have a lot of strength, since I never moved a wheelchair on my own, but I got around pretty well and kept up my friend and her shopping cart. :). It made a huge difference with so much more room to maneuver!! I was so happy to be mobile after breaking my foot and out of the house.I will say the chair is low and I am 5’5″ so the mid height shelves weren’t accessible. I also can’t reach my sinks and the fridge is tricky. But I can do so much more than trying to balance on my foot.I have seen the orthopedic clinic and now have an aircast. This sucker is heavy and hard to walk with. My blue streak continues to save the day. I go to my medical appointments muc easier. I couldn’t even imagine trying to hobble to the car, drive, hobble across the parking lot and walk all over the building, just to do it again when I left!!I get medical transport. They pick me up. Fold my chair and off we go. Sometimes I push myself and sometimes I get assistance, with the blue streak both is easily possible.I will say if you sit for long periods, get a nice cushion, because the chair material is like a director’s chair. This is what makes it possible to fold up and travel easily. It also has a nice Velcro pouch in back to carry your papers or other things. All the levers for the brakes and foot rests and arm rest as very easy to work; there is no force necessary.I cannot say enough about this chair! I would recommend it to anyone and I have! I would say if you need a versatile, affordable, well made wheelchair, that is portable and easy to use – you cannot go wrong with the blue streak! I thank God I got this wheelchair!! Thank you Amazon and Drive Medical for making this injury and the struggles that I am going through because of it, easier on me. It is worth every penny!!

Great for the Price
This is the 3rd time I’m in a wheelchair. The cost to rent in my area is $88/wk for a manual and $150/wk for an electric. I spent almost $200 each of the last times I rented. It was cheaper to buy this here at $139. I did order the 20″ seat. I’m a size 16 and pregnant, the 16″ rental wasn’t wide enough. I could have gotten away with the 18″ but I’m reusing the gel seat I already had for the previous rental, so it works out. It came in good condition and was easy to set up. I like the color. It’s easy to maneuver and collapse for my trunk. I wouldn’t call this lightweight, the rental was lighter, but I can manage getting it in and out alone. I have sciatica and SPD, so I’m not bound all the time but need it for longer distances. We’ve taken this to the zoo, 3 parks and the store. The breaks lock well and my kids and partner can push me easily when my arms get tired. This wheelchair is a good buy for short term use and is significantly cheaper than a rental. My only issue is I’m 5’2″ and my arms are pretty short. The chair arms rub my forearms when I push myself. That wasn’t an issue with the rental. There isn’t really a way to lower the arms to accommodate for this.

This wheelchair folds nicely. It is comfortable for quick trips. Took it with us on a plane and then on a cruise and it worked great. I am able to walk, just not for long periods. So if I were completely wheelchair bound I suspect I would want a memory foam cushion too. But for getting through the airport and around the ship with my husband to push, it’s great! Very pleased with the quality.

I broke my leg and needed something temporary to get around. This is a reasonable price for a couple of months usage. I’m 5’2″, 110 lbs and this chair works well for me. It’s sturdy, can be easily folded, and leg supports are easy to adjust. If you’re looking for something long term that someone will spend a significant amount of time in, spend more money and get something more rugged.

March 21st i unfortunately broke my right knee and tore all ligaments anf tendons…..have to have surgery this tuesday at 745 am at scarborough general hospital. This chair has given me back some independence by far… i can move the leg rest and pads on my own and is extremely comfortable. Has helped me be able to was my hair and feel clean and secure…..as for people showing issues….anything we buy will always have a potential for flaws or defects….sometimes its hit and miss….i feel bad for those who have had issues work with amazon they will help you! Would definitely reccomend this chair and Driven products to friends and family.

The 16″ size was a perfect fit for my 13 year old son who was going out of province for surgery on his leg. His physiotherapist was impressed with the quality and price but wished it had anti-tip legs on the back for my daredevil son.I would definitely recommend this chair for teens or small adults.
