Great customer service & life saver product
Long story, but had difficulty with the first phone. I had bought it for an elderly relative who raised a handicapped grandchild. With the picture buttons, the now adult grandchild could call someone if something happened to the grandmother. Not sure what happened, but after I programmed the buttons, she later unplugged the phone (which causes it to reset) to put the pictures in. Then it didn’t work. She didn’t understand how to reset. I was very ill for several months and out of town with surgeries and hospital stay. When I was able I went and tried to reprogram the phone numbers. I could not get it to reprogram except for only one number. I contacted customer service and they were extremely helpful, receptive, and immediately responded. After trying all that they ask me to try, they offered me another phone. I installed the new phone and had no issues. All is well. Customer service contacted me again to make sure all was OK and that I was able to program it with success. Although we had difficulty with the first phone, everything was extremely easy to get help from a very pleasant customer service rep, named Mary. Mary made sure that I was able to help these two individuals whose situation is difficult. They love the phone and it is easy enough for the grandchild to just touch the programmed picture to get help. I will have to say that it is the most pleasant customer service I have ever had to deal with and that the Terry phone is and could be a real life saver.

Great phone & excellent customer service
Purchased this phone for my elderly father who lives in assisted living period. He has hearing, speech, grip, and mobility issues that affect his ability to use a telephone without assistance. The handset has a grip pad on it which makes it easy for him to hold the handset when using the phone. It also has a speaker phone for a hands free option and this is particularly helpful for conference calls. There are 3 memory buttons you can set up to program 3 different numbers for one button push dial. This makes it really easy for my dad to call us if he needs anything in case he forgets our number. When we received the phone we followed the instructions and registered it. When we went to set up the phone we made a mistake without knowing it and plugged the handset into the outjack on the back of the phone. For some reason we completely missed the handset Jack on the side of the phone. Needless to say we didn’t get the phone to work and we were very frustrated. The next day I had resigned myself to purchase a different phone when customer service from Terry phone reached out to me via text to ask me how it went with. The installation of the phone. I told them that we couldn’t get the phone to work and I thought it was defective. They responded with some troubleshooting things to try to see if we could get the phone to work. I was certain I had done everything right? The first time and was reluctant to try but I did anyway. Needless to say when I Followed the customer service reps (THANK YOU, MARY!) suggestions that’s when I discovered the jack for the handset on the side of the phone. I was embarrassed about being such a dimwit. But I was extremely happy that the phone was now working and I didn’t have to get a new one after all. My dad absolutely loves the phone it’s easy for him to use. I would recommend this phone for anyone.

    Better than most
After having purchased other models which had to be returned, I had low expectations that anyone made a big-button phone with decent audio. And let’s face it – the only reason to have a phone is for the audio! This one was easy to install, and the handset audio is great – on both ends of the call. It’s not Bose, but for the price it is good sound. The speaker is marginal at best, so if a speakerphone is a must you may have to keep looking. But it still ended up better than the other 2 or 3 we tried in this price range.

Easy to use, but the speaker phone is poorly designed.
Wife got one, set it up with Cell2Jack, she likes the speed dial buttons. The ring is loud, and the flashing light is a nice extra. However, when she switches the phone over to speaker, it is no where near 80db it claims to be, we have the volume slider all the way up, perhaps the unit is defective. The speaker however is decently loud IF she removes the handset, the speaker design is located right below the handset, and they have a foam pad on the handset, so that muffles down the volume quite a bit.She uses the speaker phone part most of the time, so she had me tape down the ‘receiver’ button, and she just leaves the handset off the base. Not exactly ideal, but it works. She is on the hunt for one with more quick-dial buttons and a better speaker phone option. The handset IS decently loud when used normally.

    Perfect for young kids
We purchased this phone for our kids to use in case of an emergency. We were easily able to program phone numbers in it and our kids are loving being able to call their grandparents and other family members on their own. We’ve had the phone for a few months now and so far it’s working great for both making and receiving calls. It also gives us peace of mind to have a landline our kids can easily access in the event of an emergency.

    Works as advertised
The set up is easy. Pictures not included! Haha. But tabs to write a name are included and the instructions of how to add pictures are clear and concise. With 3 big memory buttons and more memory storage by setting each digit to a new number, there’s more than enough storage for my child to have a simple phone to call me and other friends and family. The sound quality is very clear, the phone has a simple chime when ringing as well as lighting up, and the speaker function is handy. I like this phone a lot!

    Easy to use
This is a great phone for seniors. It is very easy to program and easy to use! Just plug it in and go! Love it! Great purchase and value for the money! Perfect size!

    Good phone for seniors
The large numbers are very clear. Easy to program the autodial tabs and the ability to put pictures or a name under a clear plastic cover is a nice touch. However the sound quality is only fair…has a tinny quality. Don’t know if this is better on a more expensive model. But this serves our needs for my mother w mild dementia to use. She does not talk for very long on a call. And at least she can call me if she is anxious.

Great telephone for my elderly brother. He finds it easier to use and manage than a typical phone. Large numbers are helpful.

great phone for my old mum nice big numbers

My mother is in her 90’s and is hard of hearing and has mascular degeneration and can’t see well. They instituted the area code be dialed with the phone number and she just couldn’t dial the numbers quick enough and the call wouldn’t go through . This was a safety concern for us as she is still living alone but wouldn’t be able to call us if needed. We were able to put three contacts on her phone that all she would need to do is push one button – worked great and easy to program. I find the phone really loud but works perfectly for her as she is so hard of hearing. Would recommend for seniors.

I received the phone. Brought it to my mom who is in a nursing home.Buyers beware this item did not work. No dial tone nothing. So disappointed

I was very happy with this phone initially. I purchased it for my mother who suffers from dementia and resides in long term care. The foam sleeve that is on the handset end, keeps sliding up and when she placed the phone back into the cradle, the line remains open or ‘busy’.This has caused many issues in trying to keep in touch and the staff has been helpful in trying to assist but I will be traveling to determine what can be done to fix the issue or replace the handset.I wish I could leave a better review but the situation has been a little disappointing. The TerryPhone support team has been receptive so I’ll reach out to see what they suggest. The sound quality of the phone is great and the buttons are easy to use for my mom.
