We got this table in advance of an upcoming need. It looks nice enough. The split table, allowing the main part to tilt and keeping the side table level, seems really useful. The rim will definitely keep laptops, phones, or pencils from sliding off. The table is rated at 30+ lbs and seems sturdy enough. It also seems to adjust nicely to accommodate a high mattress.It’s very easy to assemble. Took maybe 10 minutes, if not less. No frustrations. Instructions are clear.A couple of reactions:1. The edging around the table is not very thick at the point it might hit your wrists or arms if the table is level. Not really comfortable, at least in my short try. If you tilt it, the issue goes away.2. I’d suggest a socket wrench instead of an adjustable wrench for setting the bolts that connect the table to the leg.3. There’s a small screw for locking the adjustable leg during transport. The manufacturer suggests saving it, but there’s nowhere to keep it. I ended up taping it to the bottom of the table because if I put it anywhere else, it’s the same as pitching it. It’s a hack, and probably I don’t need to keep the screw, but it’s the kind of thing that is just annoying.4. The tables are packed using styrofoam (that isn’t marked for recycling). It’d be nicer if a compostable packing material was used instead.

Nice functional table
This table is not the high quality of something you would find in a hospital, but itâs more than fine for you and me at home. Assembly was extremely easy needing only a wrench, a screwdriver and a rubber mallet. The wrench is used to tighten the two bolts that hold the stand to the table. The screw driver is used to push the adjustment bar through the tube to allow you to put on the adjustment knob and to remove that black screw. The rubber mallet is for pounding the casters into the base. I just didnât have enough strength in my arthritic old hands to push them in. I suppose you could use a block of wood and a regular hammer if you donât have a rubber mallet. You just donât want to damage the casters trying to get them pushed into place.Up and down are both controlled by the same lever. None of that hit the bottom of the table with your knee and it pops up. The tilt function works good and is perfect for working on the laptop in bed. (My bed can raise and lower the back and feet.) I did notice that once assembled that the large tilting table was about a quarter of an inch lower than the small table. Irrelevant to me, but it might matter to some folks. I like that this table is so big. There is plenty of room for my laptop and an external keyboard. Having the non tilting side table is a plus for holding drinks, snacks or other things you donât want sliding into your lap. I just leave the table tilted so I donât have to mess with the adjustment knob.I did have a couple of minor issues. The table arrived with some minor damage on the edge underneath the large table. Itâs only about half an inch long and was clearly done during manufacturing, I will never see it again and it doesnât affect the tables performance so I accepted it.The other issue was a little more involved. Once assembly was complete, I found that the small table had a slight wobble. I couldnât just leave this as I knew it would drive me crazy. Thereâs no way to adjust for the wobble, but I did come up with a solution. First, I took the table tops off. On the small table there are two little notches in the tube that lock it in place. These notches are ever so slightly too big causing the slight wobble. I simply slightly squeezed the end of the tube where the notches were with a set of vice grips. I only put the vice grips about half way on the tube as I only wanted to bend the end of the tube. After doing this, I reassembled the table and the wobble was gone.Iâve included three pictures. One showing the minor damage. One showing the little notches in the tube and one showing how I used the vice grips. I suggest testing your table for wobble before completing assembly so you can fix it, if it exists on your table, before you finish putting the thing together.That little black screw that you replace with another screw once assembly is complete simply keeps the table mechanism from moving up or down during shipping. The world is not going to end if the first thing you do is remove that screw. Remove it and the table now functions correctly. The screw you replace that black screw with has only one purpose. To fill that hole. It does nothing more.This is a decent functional table with only minor resolvable issues. Iâm more than satisfied with and expect to get years of use out of it.

Arrived significantly damaged, but product is very good quality
My pictures will not upload, but the box arrived with torn with wholes all over. The table was damaged significantly. There is a plastic seal all around the edges of the table and mine looks like someone stuck a screwdriver into it and pulled it away from the sides. I am super disappointed because the table is too heavy to justify returning. The product is obviously very high quality, thus the 5 star review.

Surprisingly great value
Got this for a family member’s surgery recovery. It’s ugly, but if you or your family member has to be in bed for a long time, this thing is worth it. I expected this to be junk, but it was not. It’s sturdy and rolls easily. The two-part tilting table top is very convenient. Now we keep it for occasionally watching movies in bed on a laptop or tablet. If someone is sick in bed and you want to bring them a bowl of soup, this is the right tool for the job. Every household should have one, as long as you have a place to store it.

I purchased this for my use after surgery. It is easy to assemble and functional, adequate for my needs. I selected this table over a less expensive one because the description states that the table top is laminate. I interpreted laminate to be a Formica-like covered surface, not molded plastic. (The Vaunn Medical Deluxe Tilt-Top Overbed Table is practical, easy-to-use and suitable for both home and institutional use. The unique two-part table, both parts tiltable by adjusting the control knob that is ideal for patient’s to set their drink and glasses on, while the large portion tilts in infinite positions in either direction. The table height easily adjusts for comfort while eating, writing or reading and features an attractive wood-grained laminate top that is designed to resist damage. Overall width at base is 26 ½ inches Overall table top measurement (L x W): 30″ x 15″ Overall small tray section: (L x W) 8″ x 15″ Weight capacity: 45 lbs. Product weight: 26 lbs.) The table that arrived is cheap ugly brown plastic. Everything that I place on it slides out of reach quite easily. I added textured shelf liner (RV shelf liner) to the tiltable top and side stationary section to combat the sliding. Unfortunately, adding the liner, severely reduces the usability of the very narrow lip around the edge to hold a small ereader when tilted. I could have saved $30 by buying the table accurately described as having a plastic table top.

Versatile table to use with a hospital bed
Assembly was relatively easy. Easy to use. Tilting features is easy to use and increases versatility of the table for the user.

I have been using the overbed table on a daily base for the last twenty days. I did not rush to write a review till I get my time to use the table.The delivery was quick with no problem.Assembly was relatively easy. The manual could be improved and show steps clearly. The last step of removing an existing scroll and replace it with another was was no clear.The material seems sturdy and robust. I prepared this table for three reasons:1- the table height can be adjusted using a level and not manually adjusted using a know. This feature is what I like most about this table.2- it can be tilt and so I can read or use my laptop while in bed. This feature is not working well as the edge of the table is not high enough to stop a laptop or a tablet from falling off the table.3- the main pillar that holds the table is square and not circular like the majority of the similar (and cheaper) tables on Amazon. I thought the will make the table more stable. However, the two parts of the square pillar are hosted in a flimsy piece of plastic. The tabletop is swinging when it is slightly pushed.Overall, the table achieved one of the three reasons to buy it. I believe the table needs some re-engineering to improve it especially its stability and raise the edge to stop a laptop/book from falling.
