This is a great product! Once it is closed, there is absolutely no odor. I can use standard bags for liners which saves money. It locks which keeps curious kids out. It also cleans easily. It has made my life easier.

I’ve had one week with this diaper pail with my week-old son and it has functioned flawlessly. The fact that I’m sleep-deprived and have not once been annoyed with this or had it malfunction should be evidence enough that its design is great. Using it is simple: a light push down on the loop and then slide it back to open the receptacle. After making your deposit, pull the handle back towards you and it will pop back in to place, sealing the stainless steel lid against the rubber gasket. I was skeptical before I purchased this that it did not allow for hands-free operation (foot pedal, IR sensor, mind control, etc…), but it is easy enough to be operated with a diaper in hand. Also, it takes any trash bag you have, making it (one of) the cheapest diaper pails in the long run.A neutral comment is that it is small; it is only 2 feet in height. This makes it easy to fit in any room, but it may cause back strain.My only negative, which may be a bit of a nit-pick, is opening the lid to remove the bag. There is a nub on the lid to grab, but nothing on the body to provide good counter-pressure. After opening it only a few times, I find myself consistently grabbing the lid with both hands when trying to pry it open and have to readjust my grip. Given the frequency with which it needs to be emptied, I can deal with this.Edit: after hearing from Ubbi’s customer service (within minutes of this review going live), my one negative is no longer! I had been opening the pail in the middle of the room, which I guess is not optimal. If you place it with its back against a wail, all you need to do is apply light pressure to the Ubbi logo on the body of the pail while lifting the lid and the latch pops open with almost no effort!. My one nit-pick should not have been enough to keep you from buying this pail, but now you have absolutely no reason not to!

Had one of the major diaper pail systems. Hated it. Tried this one, and…..I was having to change the old pail every other day. and living in a two-story home this gets old fast (trying to carry a 22lbs kid and dirty diaper bag is difficult) After wanting to switch to a bigger size with REGULAR BAGS, I purchased this. It works great, well built, and I get just under a week between bag changes. Just buy quality bags.With the plastic systems, the diaper smells slowly leeches into the plastic, and than that slowly leeches into the room. I could not get the smell out of the room, I just figured it was in the walls and would have to air out over time. However with this pail, the smell was gone the second day.I was frustrated of buying expensive refills, so I purchased the Ubbi Diaper pail. Love it! Yes, a slight smell does escape when dropping in a new diaper, yes changing the bag can be very ripe (Hold your breath, open the top; grab the bag and twist. Done.) But those two minor issues are easy to deal with, and it’s a synch to use. I wish the opening was a little bigger, so those extra special diapers that you have to poke down with a pinky would just drop in… but its better than alternatives.I can not stress this enough, buy good liners. (I use glad force flex with order shield) It’s still cheaper than the refills, and they will last a long time. Pulling a loaded bag out puts a lot of stress on those things, and I’m sure no one wants to deal with the….waste…. a second time.

I am over-enthusiastic about the Ubbi. I have swayed several of my friends towards this. Some might say it is a lot for a diaper pail, but it is SO worth it. Things I love:- it uses any garbage bag (we use the kitchen bags from Costco, very affordable)- easy to open/close with one finger, also easy to lock when kids become inquisitive- LOCKS IN SMELL – seriously, you do not realize how badly diapers smell until you open it to throw one in, but then close it and the smell disappears. The only time we smell diapers is when we take the bag out to empty it (once a week!) and we smell them then. But it locks the odor in.- Sturdy (unlike the plastic ones which we went through several of and those broke, not to mention the stupid refill bags)- Looks nice, I mean, as nice as a diaper pail can look. Seriously, looks nicer than the plastic tall ones.This thing works so well that we bought a second one to use by our cat litter box. Odor trapper. Awesome!I might start sending these to friends as baby presents, they are fantastic! Just wish they came in bigger sizes for my kitchen trash!

Unsere Neugeborene produziert viele Windeln, die auch mitunter stark riechen. Andere Windeleimer brauchen spezielle Beutel oder “Kassetten”, die einen ums restliche Geld bringen. Da gebe ich lieber in der Erstausstattung etwas mehr aus, wie für diesen Eimer. Ich kann normale Müllbeutel rein packen. Die Öffnung verschließt mit einer Art Membran. Der Geruch bleibt im Eimer und lässt sich, wenn er mal voll ist, super easy ausleeren. Selbst mit einer Hand am Kind und in der anderen Hand die Windel lässt sich – trotz des guten Verschlusses, der Eimer super easy aufschieben. Verschlossen ist er auch schnell. Es wird nur tricky, wenn man dann wirklich mal das Schloss benutzt – aber davon sind wir nur entfernt. Alle werdenden Eltern oder Menschen mit frischen Neugeborenen: Kauft das Teil. Wirklich ehrliche und herzliche Empfehlung für diesen Windeleimer.

Poubelle à couches design et pratique. On peut utiliser des sacs poubelles classiques donc c’est économique. La poubelle isole aussi très bien les odeurs grâce au verrouillage.
