Bought these for autistic child who struggles with utensils
I have been looking for utensils for my growing, autistic child who is still struggling to hold utensils. My child is still using utensils for toddlers and very young children, as those are easier to hold. However, those have gotten too small. And I’ve looking for our next step utensils to put it that way for quite a while now. They came very well packaged and in individual clear bags inside the box. These are clearly intended for much older people than for a child. So I’m not sure if my child will be able to handle the jump from current utensils to these ones. That’s the only reason why I gave them 4 stars: Because I don’t know if they’ll work as intended for someone with poor hand motor skills due to autism. Once we’ve tried them, I’ll come back and update my review, as needed. Nevertheless, they seem to be made of good materials and good quality. The different colors will certainly help to identify them easier as visual cues are very important for many if not most on the autism spectrum. And the handles are made of a material that prevents them from slipping out of the hands. They seem to provide a much better grip. Overall and without having used them yet, I’m happy with my purchase.UPDATE: After using them for a couple of weeks, my 7-year old autistic child has mastered the spoons and the fork. They’re still a bit big. But they’re definitely easier to handle than regular ones. Definitely, it was worth getting these. Increasing review from 4 to 5 stars.

Not overly bulky
My husband likes these over a few others that I’ve bought for him. Love that it comes with the butter knife also, though the spoons are way larger than a normal teaspoon. Out of the different weighted sets he has, he loves these the best.

Great for handicap people
My husband loves it. The fork especially. Spoons are to big for his mouth and spills alot. Knifes work well. Highly recommend this

Helping utensils.
This set has met my expectations. It does not solve all physical problems, but they do help.
