For context, I had been using a cold, hard, extremely uncomfortable raised seat at the hospital for 5 days before I came home to this. This is AMAZING!! It is sturdy and does its job, but its most outstanding feature is its comfort. Imagine you have a bad back and have been sitting in a cold, metal folding chair like they have at school auditoriums (in a hospital gown, of course)!. Then, suddenly, you switch to a luxury grade, comfortably-padded lounge chair.It even looks nice! This is one of the best things I’ve ever bought from Amazon.

A lifesaver
I went through a period of time where my legs were extremely weak and I had a hard time getting off my toilet (even though it wasn’t the lowest). With the adjustable height, it’s easy to set it where you need it, and if things change, you can raise or lower it as needed. The foam seat is much more comfortable than the hard plastic on toilets. It was well worth the expense.

Great for the elderly
We have an elderly family member who fell down and injured an arm (the whole body to be more honest), since then she required additional assistance to stand up.The space is limited where they live so installing those metal bars is not an option; I had acquired a different bar that goes up to the ceiling but that didn’t seem to work.We figured we needed to try different possible solutions and we came across this, so we decided to give it a try. It has a comfy cushion where they can sit and because this is raised, it makes it easier for her to stand back up. The side rails are also nice, she can get up by herself.The product so far has proven to be sturdy and while I cannot speak on the durability of the cushion (it’s brand new, it is great right now), I hope that it lasts a while. It has been a great assistance for her caretaker as well.
