Pure Original Ingredients Raspberry

Great for adding raspberry flavor to Cocoa mixes.
I was having problems when making my cocoa mix finding a product, to give real raspberry flavor to my mix.This freeze dried powder solved this problem. I am going to try it in chocolate soon. I will let you know if this works in ganache, if so it would make a wonderful dessert coating.

Did this really come from Raspberry?
I grabbed this trying to provide a sugar free color and flavor source for smoothie drinks. There is an eerie soft pink tinge of color this powder. It is not like raspberry red. I assume it is because the seeds and the rest of the raspberry plant are ground in. There is no tartness, not much flavor of raspberry at all. I put three tablespoons in a 16 ounce drink and the taste didn’t change. The color only slightly pink. Perhaps this powder is what is left over after all the juice has been drained out?

good for flavoring frosting but not good for flavoring meringue
This works great in frosting, and tastes really good but do not use it in meringue. I made macarons, which I have done maybe 200 times before, but this time I decided to flavor the meringue with raspberries instead of using just food coloring. Half the batch had the raspberry, and the other half of the batch I flavored with vanilla extract. Big mistake. The meringues with the raspberry powder stayed sticky and I unfortunately had to throw out the entire half batch of the raspberry meringues. The half batch with the vanilla and no raspberry powder came out perfectly as always. The buttercream I made with the powdered raspberry was great but was way too disappointed with having to throw out half a batch of sticky macarons, which were kind of gross, especially since there was no warning telling people not to use it to flavor meringue.

This is a great value & great tasting raspberry powder. Mixes in very easily.
