MY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST SAID THIS IS THE BEST TILT TABLE SHE’S SEEN AT THIS AFFORDABLE PRICE. I LOVE IT!
First off, Platinum Health is one of the BEST sellers I’ve ever dealt with anywhere. Five Star Customer Service.I’m disabled and bedridden. The tilt table is perfect for my needs. After my next spinal procedure I expect to be able to draw again. Since my non dominant hand has permanent nerve damage, it’s wonderful to have a tilt table be able to hold up my books. My visiting nurse Occupational Therapist showed me the best (most ergonomic) way to utilize the table without putting strain on my cervical and lumbar spine. The tilt table is the perfect size for my various sized drawing books, and the side table (which can also tilt, but I will keep flat) is perfect for my colored pencils, compass, straight edge, eraser, reference materials, etc.The tilt table will also be a perfect table for me to write music compositions in my notation notebooks. I’ll also use it to hold up books I’m currently reading/studying.My Occupational Therapist said this is the best table she’s ever seen at this price point. She said she’ll recommend it to her patients in the future (the one she recommended to me seemed cheap and got bad reviews. You get what you pay for. I’m glad I did my own research and found this table.)The table took my less than 10 minutes to set up and wheel into the bedroom (I’m disabled so I had a relative set it up.) I have permanent nerve damage in my left hand and spinal cord nerve root damage in my cervical spine. Even so, the tilt mechanism is easy enough for me to use, although I will have my caregiver perform any changes to the table so I can save my energy for the uplifting things I mentioned earlier. The table came with no instructions, but it’s such a simple design, it’s self explanatory. The only issue I have is the table moves a bit even with the two wheels locked. This is on a hard wood floor. When I’m physically able to move back into my bedroom this issue will be null because I have a rug. One easy fix for the sliding on the hard wood floor is placing a mat on the floor in front of the wheels. One thing you should be aware of: you must be lying as close to the edge of the bed as possible to use this tilt table. You can switch from using the table on either side of the bed, no problem. However, the tilt table hovers over the bed; the side table does not reach over the bed.The plastic piece on the bottom (and top) of the table is the perfect height to keep a book, iPad/tablet, laptop, etc. , from falling off the table. It is not uncomfortable. If you don’t care for it, it’s easily removed with a screwdriver. If you’re using a laptop, I would suggest buying a comfortable wrist rest (to prevent carpal tunnel) and placing that on the bottom of the table. There’s plenty of room. The side table has a lip around the outside of the perimeter of the table that, for example, keeps pens and pencils from rolling off the table onto the floor. This is ingenious!I am not going to place glasses or cups of water , for example, on the side table. It would be too easy for me to knock the table and cause a spill. Bottled water will be fine. Just use common sense: if the table is being used while in bed, the undercarriage is sideways. Be aware of not putting too much weight on the side table.Using this table in front of you while sitting in a chair? No problem. Again, use common sense. The table is easy to store: lower and collapse the table and it will easily fit under a bed, in a closet, or in my case beside the dresser and the wall.I can’t imagine anyone having a problem, but if you do simply reach out to Noel at Platinum Health and you will be treated with the upmost respect.Would I use this table to hold a TV and DVD player? No. Of course not. It’s not meant for that kind of weight.I’m using the table for artistic and educational pursuits, as mentioned above. I would certainly use the table for dinner and the side table for bottled water, iced tea in a bottle, etc. This would be perfect for jigsaw puzzles, too.I cannot say enough about Platinum Health’s customer service.

Much More Than a Laptop/Bedside Table
Much more than a laptop tableI needed a dedicated, sturdy table that was multifunctional, totally adjustable, portable and easy to clean. After looking locally and online for a suitable table I found a functional fit in the Platinum Health table.I am an artist, a writer and a quilter and I am able to customize this table for all these activities. My table is always in dedicated use. I just roll it out of the way, with projects intact.I use my laptop/bedside table for an easel and drafting. The adjustable angle of the table to be perfect for applying watercolors and sketching. The lip at the bottom is rounded, smooth plastic and easily wipeable. It supports my 3/4” art board perfectly. The side table holds and my brushes pencils and water. The lip around the small table prevents spills and also keeps my pencils from rolling off the edge.I can work standing or sitting or at a customized drafting height. Works perfectly with my ottoman for seating. I plan to buy a small drafting chair. Because of the adjustability, my feet can rest flat on the floor and I can have my table at the proper height.I use the table to support my heavy quilt for stitching.I can reach under the quilt to pass the needle through. It keeps the warm quilt off my lap while I am working. I can roll the table around the house so I can work in any room or chair. The table is quite stable feeling as I work with very little wobble.I use the table for my laptop and writing materials. As a writer the table works perfectly with my laptop or as a writing desk. I can change the angle of table to give me a range of keyboard angles to give my wrists and forearms a change. I can stand up to use my laptop. The rounded lip at the bottom of the cart is OK comfortable. I do use a wrist rest because of the pressure of bottom guard. I would like this feature to be detachable, but it is workable as is.Here are my Ideas for the next design phase:The table height adjusts easily for each of my activities. I will however put a rubber bumper on the up down adjustment to keep the table from crashing down, noisily if I let go of the table while adjusting tension screw. I would have preferred a pin placement rather than the tension screw design. This would have made the table perfect in my opinion. Someone suggested replacing the tension screw with a spring pin. If you guys have a retrofit let me know. The side table has two adjustments; one touching the main table and then a second pin adjustment for 1 “ or so away. The side table doesn’t tilt and seems sturdy enough. I use it for my watercolors, brushes and notebooks. The base is narrower than my favorite armchair and will not fit under it. Be sure to measure. I cannot pull it as close as I would like even with the tilt angle adjustment a the base of the table with some chairs. The castors are lockable, but do not spin freely. I may choose to upgrade them. I use my table on hardwood floors and have not tried them on carpet. The formica work is excellent and my table arrived on time and in perfect shape. The powder coating is gorgeous, warm dark coppery color, washable and able to be sanitized. I like the black edging material.Summary:Love itUse it everydayWould recommend it to a close friend

  4. 5th Grade Report Card: Linda is outspoken…

    Sleek and functional
The first one I ordered arrived with a crushed wheel despite being well-packaged—there’s no accounting for what happens in transit, I guess! The replacement arrived promptly and I’m very happy with this purchase. This desk is highly adjustable and sturdily built. This was a really good decision!
