So easy to use
I purchased this for my 94 year old mother who has dementia. She has been able to easily use this phone to make calls & retrieve her messages. She is able to hear well even with her hearing aids! One of the best things I have ever purchased for my mom.

Great overall phone especially for elderly
This phone was easy to set up and follow hands on actions. I love the BLOCK feature that allows you to block unwanted calls. Even those that hide their number. I never answer the phone unless I know who it is and for anyone not in my directory, or who doesn’t have a number shown, I can block them. That alone was worth the cost from someone on the do not call list since day 1. The 40 dB volume option and even higher for the ringer makes this a great choice. It also has the flashing red lights as a visual option for calls. The larger handset with larger letters is more user friendly to read incoming call numbers even though the phone announces the caller. I like the white phone for a brighter look. Everything about this phone has been a significant improvement over my older, smaller, and darker phone. Great choice so far since you have different options you can set for the headset and the base.

Suitable for hearing/sight impaired – Complicated setup
Five stars for features – three stars for complicated installation – so average of four stars.Overall, this phone is suitable for someone who is hearing or sight impaired.PROsLarge numbers on handset. Handset and base unit flash when phone rings. Mechanical voice announces identity of the caller (requires that you have caller ID [“CID”] from your provider; I have entered names and phone numbers of frequently contacted people; the name I’ve entered is announced when that person calls. (I don’t know if this aspect of caller identification may require provider CID.) Volume of the ringer and hearing volume are adjustable.Ringer can be silenced during nighttime hours; the hours of silence are adjustable.Quick (single button – 1 to 9) dialing is a feature; programming the first three buttons on the handset automatically programs the three, large buttons on the base unit. This makes it easy for a sight impaired individual to make a call.CONsInstallation/setup is complicated. The physical act of plugging the base into a power source and connecting to a phone jack is straightforward (almost intuitive). But the rest of the setup is complicated. The manual is in very small print. So a sight impaired (or cognitively impaired) individual is going to require assistance. (Don’t buy this phone and have it drop shipped to an elderly person who is impaired; you will only be wasting your money and creating a problem.)This phone is susceptible to interference from other electronic/electro-mechanical devices. My wife must use an electro-magnetic collar each day following cervical surgery (the collar was ordered by her surgeon to promote bone growth); we discovered that it produces static on this phone. Absent such interference, this phone has good audio quality.MEHA plastic bracket is provided in the kit to wall-mount the base. Fortunately, no mounting hardware is included. Rather, instructions (in fine print) say to use mounting hardware that is suitable to the location chosen for the bracket. In other words, don’t mount this to dry-wall unless you use moly-bolts or something equivalent; the base weighs enough that most screws would be pulled loose from dry-wall after a short time.Volume boosting feature seems to be a marketing feature more than anything else. The volume controls seem to provide enough range to cover the needs of most hearing impaired individuals (IMO). I ordinarily wear hearing aids; I don’t need them with this phone. The volume boost feature is almost painful.

What a deal It was Worth every nickel
I bought the phone because the phone service isnât good where I live. Itâs hard to hear on the line this phone let you listen easier, but the only problem is when you turn it up loud the ringer is extremely loud. I can hear the phone ring. Itâs just talking on the phone. You Cannot set the ringer if you do then you canât hear the people on the phone. Other than that, itâs great. It was marked down merchandise. I saved 60% on. It really one of the best phones Iâve ever owned

Great volume control
This is a great phone overall. The boosted volume and slow talk features are great. The caller ID Feature is not designed for the elderly. Despite the larger buttons thereâs no large caller Iâd display. The caller ID requires that you push a down arrow twice, then the side button once. Then the number displays on the phones small screen and is challenging to read, if the user remembers the sequence of buttons to push. They really overlooked the caller ID feature on this phone. I thought setting it up was average but not simple.

We have been using this instrument for a month now and are very pleased with it. It’s clear, extra loud sound quality, when on boost, is just what my mother needed. While expensive, seeing her happily chatting away on the phone makes it a very worthwhile investment. The sellers were extremely helpful right from the start..five stars for this order.
