The Akord’s double-seal system and powder-fresh liner refills lock odors in, keeping rooms smelling clean and fresh. Quality of life should not be compromised by unpleasant and potentially embarrassing scents. Disposing of soiled briefs is made as hygienic as possible with Akord’s design. Thanks to the foot pedal, operation is hands-free. Users will never come in contact with the inside contents when emptying the container. The continuous liner was designed to be zero-waste. Easy to Use Because Akord uses a long, continuous liner refill, emptying is very easy. Even if the receptacle is emptied before it’s full, there will be no bag waste, greatly increasing value for consumers. In addition to the zero-waste design, the liners are latex-free and are made from 20% recycled materials.

    Clean storage and Disposal
This really holds quite a bit and it prevent smells from getting out. It’s convenient and easy to use and it’s very clean looking and attractive for a trash can anyway

    Slim and easy to use
We bought this for an elderly parent’s home. It’s an old house with odd corners and spaces but this is slender enough that it fits really well in it’s niche. It holds a generous load and so far, there’s no odor problem. There’s a push-through opening under the lid, but it’s a little small for what we need, so we taped both the top lid and the push-through lids together so they both lift at once. Easier for us to deposit soiled pads and unders directly into liner bag from the top. The liner is strong. It took a couple times to get used to tying knots in the liner to close it off since we were used to pre-made bags but tying knots is nothing. We’re happy with this product. We’re also very happy with the seller. We accidentally ordered twice but we only needed one. The seller was very accomodating and our mistake was quickly and kindly resolved.

    Pretty good
Really like this for my 96yr old mother. It’s easy to use & no wasted bags. My only concern is that it’s only 20 months old & had to order a new bag cutter a few months back. Now the plastic broke that holds the door so I had to order a whole new diaper pail!

    Brillant!
I had no idea. Everyday I was running my husbands used Depends out to the trash… when a friend suggested something like a diaper keeper. Thank you Amazon for having these products listed!Yes, this is wonderful. My husband’s depends are only wet, and using this product, the bathroom doesn’t smell! I empty it once a week, the same as the Kitty Litter. 🙂

    Big Surprise
My mother-in-law is 90 and has a problem with incontinence, although she would tell you there isn’t really a problem. That argument aside, I have gotten really tired of the odor coming from the trash in her bathroom due to the ‘problem that isn’t a problem’ in the way of pads and diapers tossed in the trash after use. Within a matter of hours, the smell can become overwhelming and seems to permeate everything it comes in contact with, even with a single pad or diaper in it. I have run through a long list of sprays, powders, cleaners and witch doctors to try and free all of us from the smell. I stumbled across this trash can doing a random search on how to incinerate her trash and bought it because I’m a desperate woman driven to desperate measures and was ready to try anything. It took me a bit to get her to use it, but once she started using it religiously, there’s no smell emanating from the trash can at all, even if I forget to empty it and it gets filled to the top. Yes, I know, it’s a diaper genie for adults, but I can’t believe I went so long without it or that it’s so efficient at getting rid of the strong smell the old trash can always had. Easy to use, easy to replace bags and I’ve stopped smelling my clothes or asking my husband to smell my hair to see if I smell like her trash can .

Just what I needed at affordable price
Caring for my disabled husband, this is just what I needed. Had looked at more costly products, but this works perfectly, at half the price.

    Ok but smelly
Ok so before I bought this product, I researched something like a diaper genie but for adult diapers obviously because they’re bigger then babies.I kept coming across this even when just doing a Google search in Medicare/hospital sites…they recommended this product so I did find it less expensive here on Amazon. My mother lives with me due to health complications (she will eventually move back home) and I thought this was the perfect fit instead of running outside of the garbage every time she went to the bathroom.I would say you get maybe three diapers in there and then you can start to smell it. At four diapers it starts to come out of the bin smell wise and goes into the home.I was very skeptical about a lot of previous reviews that it just doesn’t ‘hold the smell in.’ I really should have listened, it basically is just an oversized trash can with a lid. My dad suggested placing it outside and that has truly helped the smell. For holding in the smell I give it 2 stars but with it being able to trap the diapers in and alleviating me running to the garbage can , I give it 4. The ease of use….truly is 5 stars so I rounded and decided upon 3 stars overall.I have sprinkled the bottom with baby powder every time I change the bag which is daily, I do clean it with Clorox wipes and I do spray it with a smell good spray on the outside inside and in through the bag.Now my house is on the smaller side so that could be part of the problem. I also will be getting the stick on arm and hammer things which was suggested. If you do have an older parent I would say that this product would be okay but you as a caregiver or the parent themselves, must change this daily!!!
