Very happy with this & highly recommended! Invacare Tilt Top Overbed Table #6418
***EDIT**** Please click on INVACARE & do a search under them for this table! It’s about $60. For some reason off this page their option shipped by Medical For You isn’t available.I read reviews on a zillion tables for over a month before deciding on this one based on the numerous good reviews (thank you reviewers!) Glad this is the one I got! Shipper was Medical For You, who got it here in 2 days.Easy to put together, though you will need a phillips head screwdriver to remove the locking screw on the pole and a wrench to tighten the nuts securely. Comes with a hefty allen wrench and all screws secured in a bag, table & legs & pole snuggled up in styro & cardboard in a tidy package. Had it together in about 10 minutes flat. Just the perfect size for a laptop & mousepad. Tilt is a little stiff but that’s ok, ensures I don’t accidentally tilt too far too quickly. Glides easily on it’s lockable wheels. Very trim profile & footprint for beside living room chair which is currently my ‘office’. I use it here by sitting in chair, THEN pulling the table in front so the wheel bar slides under the raised footrest. The wheeled bar will fit under the chair but then I don’t have as much of the table top directly in front of me.Very sturdy & a great buy I think at this price. Be sure to check the dimensions!!! This is NOT a full sized hospital table, it’s not as long as the ones in the hospital. I can imagine 101 uses for this table. Breakfast in bed, kid tray, housing plants, bird stand. Just keep in mind the weight max recommended is 25 pounds. The only thing I need now is an anti-slip mat for my laptop cooler pad as the lip that goes around the tabletop is quite petite. It has two levers for adjusting. Top one is for the tilt, lower one is for the table height. The Tilt has presets that lock securely in place, so you can adjust as you want but if you want a lower setting you have to squeeze the handle to make it go lower. I like this. No accidental swings to the lowest position dumping whatever you have on the table in your lap or on the floor. The handle for the height is easy-lift and lower once it’s squeezed. As soon as you release it the table height is locked right there and doesn’t move at all.Very happy with this & highly recommended!2/23/15 BTW this also works GREAT as a stand up desk!!!! I put a lidded cardboard letter box under my laptop & it is the perfect reading height, while the desktop is just right for mousing. The more I use this little table the more I love it.

This Table Has More Uses Than For An Over-the Bed Table!
This is the second table of this kind that I have purchased. I have used one in the kitchen as an extra workspace. I can use it next to the sink to prepare food then roll it over to the stove to have my food, spices, or whatever I need handy for cooking. I have limited counter space and this table really comes in handy. This is also a great way for anyone who uses a wheelchair to have an accessible workspace in the kitchen…and it can be moved anywhere that you need it!I have used this table in the dining room as an extra place to put food when when entertaining. It’s great for anyone who is working on a small projects such as many type of crafts, and, of course, many people use it for their laptops.I purchased my second table to use in my office. I spend a lot of time researching genealogy and find I never have enough space to spread my papers. Anyone who has worked on genealogy knows that papers, notes, files, books, etc. tend to multiply. I can keep the files that I’m researching close at hand whenever I need to refer to refer to them. This helps keep the workspace in front of me from being too cluttered. This table to very well made. It was fairly easy to put together (the second time is always easier). Here are my suggestions for assembling the table. Read the directions very carefully. Be sure to follow the instructions regarding the “black screw.” Most people will assemble the table in an upside down position because it is easier to get to everything. When it is together and the wheels are on, turn the table right side up BEFORE REMOVING THE BLACK SCREW! The table to spring loaded and will shoot right up in the air if you remove that screw too soon! Note: I had to use a flashlight to find the black screw. Follow these instructions and you shouldn’t have any problems. The table has adjustable heights and is easy to move up and down. The wheels are very good and moved very easily. I highly recommend this table to anyone who could use a little extra workspace! This is an excellent purchase and a very good price!

Very useful when in bed recovering from surgery
I bought this to use as a hospital table while recovering from major neck surgery. It’s really useful because it moves up and down and will also tilt so I can use my laptop if I want. My bed is already pretty high as it’s adjustable and this table goes up beyond what it needs to. I also use it to eat which is pretty helpful but the bed has to come up in order to support my neck. I just with it came in other colors. But highly recommend it for recovery. One of the best tools I bought to help me recover.

Sturdy and Well Made
This is a heavy duty, sturdy, and well made product. The height is easy to adjust using a single lever to go up or down and it locks in place when you release the lever. The wheels are plastic but can be locked and they roll well. The frame is made with heavy duty metal so it is a little heavy if you try to pick it up but if you roll it then it’s not heavy to move around. The table top appears to be some kind of wood laminate with plastic edges. The only improvement that I could suggest is to put a little barrier of some kind on the backside of the tabletop to prevent items from falling off the table. This was a big improvement from my old one so I would definitely recommend it.

The size is perfect. Use it for an invalid person who can manage this table by herself which was very hard with any other table we tried before.
