BIG IMPROVEMENT
This is the second one of these that I’ve purchased from Drive. This model has been redesigned to beef it up. The one that I received has larger diameter tubing, better welds and larger rubber feet for better traction. It’s more solid feeling than the old version.

Sturdy and safe!
Aside from a chemical smell on the handle that tends to linger on your hands (not sure if it was because of how it was stored prior to shipping, or if itâs made that way), this is a very well-made, supportive piece of equipment. While recovering from foot surgery, I needed a stable cane to help me get back to walking – this is the ticket!Yes, itâs heavy as others have remarked, but that isnât a dealbreaker for me and I feel it helps me feel more secure in a way. Also, itâs easy to put together, and you can easily switch it from left-handed to right. I feel very safe using it while learning to walk after surgery, especially being a larger woman.

Shipment time was fast from order date to receipt date of items.
It would be great if the footprint of the base legs were a square geometry in lieu of a rectangular one, as such, the crutch wobbles to the left or right slightly due to leg placement being too close to the centerline of the upright vertical support member with handle. Otherwise, the item is a very good value and is sufficiently sturdy. Also, it would’ve been better if all of the metal components were in 302 or 304 stainless steel, as I’m thinking the resultant price difference in all stainless construction would be still not be too very much more than the present chrome plated steel.

Great for using stairs without rails
Quality is excellent. Extremely sturdy. Quite heavy for walking long distance but fine for around the house and short distances. I used it on stairs that didnât have railings when I was in a weight bearing boot after breaking my ankle. It was a life saver.

Real heavy duty
If your looking for this type of specialty cane and need a heavy duty model this is outstanding, it has push button easy to adjust height but with an added screw down knob that prevents vibration. Itâs a super solid cane that I have no doubt will support the weight it says it will. I got it primarily to assist in getting in and out of shower where a normal cane can slip on wet bathroom floor, this wonât slip and can easily handle my weight.

Buyer Beware
This cane was warped on the bottom. On two of the four feet touched the floor making this unstable. When it arrived it was assembled and the bag that came with it was thrown in. Apparently it was returned for the same reason I stated and somehow they thought it was good enough to pass on to the next person.
