    Dressing aid is helpful!
I don’t always have someone with me when I am dressing. After different orthopedic surgeries on my spine and in my shoulder and hips, sometimes you can’t reach to pull clothes overhead or up. The ends in this stick has shapes that can help you pull clothing on.Sometimes by being empowered to dress yourself when you are limited in mobility or strength can feel good/ make you feel better. This is helpful and easy to use. Plan on keeping it handy where you would get dressed!

Most valuable tool in my arsenal!
I had hip replacement surgery in April. I had scheduled it in January so had plenty of time to prepare. My doctor told me to pay attention to the tasks I do that require me to bend 90 degrees or more and find alternative ways to do them. So I went on Amazon and found several helpful tools. I even started using them before surgery as my hip was deteriorating fast. I had skipped over this tool at first because I had already bought a sock removal tool. Well, that sock removal tool caused me to bend over 90 degrees so I bought this one just before surgery. I have to say, I use this tool the most of any of them!I use it not only to take my socks off, but to adjust them once they are on too. I use them to take my shoes off because I am not supposed to cross my feet because that puts strain on my new hip. I use it to push and pull my walker and hospital table away from and beside my bed. I use it to pull covers over me in bed and push them off my feet when I get out. I just recently was able to get my hip-high TED hose on by myself because of this tool! I wasn’t able to do it with just my sock tool. This tool is so very versatile. I use it all the time. It’s also very durable. I’ve put it in some tough situations and it hasn’t bent or cracked. I highly recommend this tool if you are having any kind of surgery that involves a limb. It is a must have!Update: I am now using this tool in my kitchen to open and close bottom drawers and my dishwasher. My reach tool isn’t strong enough for these tasks. I ordered another one to have handy in the kitchen. I use it to tip my Amazon packages on end when they are dropped off on my porch. This allows me to pick them up without bending too far. I seem to find more and more uses for this every day!

    Excellent Choice
I bought this to replace a plastic dressing stick that had that broke. This one is very sturdy. I use it with confidence. The only downside for me is that the protective rubber that has been put over the metal parts has begun to crack. It still works great and the rubber isn’t peeling off. I still would recommend this tool

    Very useful
This is very handy, not just for getting dressed.

Just a dowel with a shelf hook
I ordered this just before having shoulder surgery. I had a sling on following shoulder surgery that didn’t allow me much movement in my arm to try to bring this across. I couldn’t use it. The rubbery hook didn’t attach to clothing, it was very awkward and really quite worthless.

    Wood needs to stronger
I bought this dressing in Nov 2023 for my hip surgery and starting using it right away. It worked great at first and then the more I used it started cracking so we put duct tape on it hold together so it would not completely break. I think a stronger wood would do the trick so it would not start cracking after several uses. Or maybe metal one that my suggestion. So I can not give this product a 5 star.
