Nice!
It’s nice and sturdy, fits well in the hand, and works perfectly.I was getting tired of the electric can openers – especially when you have a tomato paste can and it just spins in circles because it is so small. This one allows me to open both ends and just push the paste through. Will buy another, just as a back up. (Because usually when I love something, it tends to disappear off the market)

It works.
I like this because it’s heavy duty in opening cans, but the opener is light weight and easy to use. It’s sharp and does the job.

Doesn’t Cut in “Safety Can” Style
This is doubtlessly a really good, traditional can opener. My issue is with their description. Saying it is a “Smooth Edge” can opener, indicated to me that it would (like Safety Can) cut the lid without a sharp edge. No. That isn’t what they mean. All they mean is that the can lid won’t have a ruffled or barbed edge. If you want a non-sharp edge, this is NOT the can opener you are looking for. You’re welcome.

Easy to use
Bought to replace my old hand crank can opener that was rusting. I looked specifically for stainless steel as it doesn’t rust. The opener is a nice size and fits my hands well. It attaches to the can easily. The turning handle is large enough to hold and turns smoothly. Looks well made. Washes up nicely in the dishwasher.

Finally a can opener that will actually open cans.
After my electronic can opener bit the dust I began using hand can openers. One after another has quit working after few times. They had never worked well and none lasted. I decided to order this one as I had nothing to use. I am glad I did It opens cans with ease and smoothly. It doesn’t hurt my arthritus either.

Fine manual can opener
My new manual can opener is sharp and easy to operate. It does not ride up on the rim of the can as I am opening it. The handle turns easily and does not get stuck. I am pleased with it so far. I don’t know how long it will last, so I cannot say anything about its durability.

Love love love this item! I had been struggling with my old, basic, metal can opener for so long before this popped up on an ad. It was a good price and looked very solid. Well… it worked so well! The first time I used it, I was blown away by how smooth and quick and easy it was to open the can. Why did I not buy this sooner? I will recommend this to anyone I know who is looking for a new can opener

This works great and opens cans smoothly with little effort. Bought a similar (different brand) opener a few months back and in the middle of opening a can the entire cutting wheel rotating handle assembly fell apart. I’m hoping it was just a bad brand and not an indication of all modern products being not built to last

My old side-cut can opener has been failing more and more lately (I think can rims have changed slightly) so I wanted to go to a top-down hand-operated can opener. This one is excellent: sturdy quality, cuts smoothly, and feels nice in my hand. I noticed another review on here showing a mangled can… note this is NOT a side-cut can opener, it is only for cutting can lids from the top-down.

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆Gather ’round, dear friends, for I have a tale of woe and betrayal, a story so tragic it would make even the most hardened of hearts weep. It all began with the **Gorilla Grip Heavy Duty Handheld Manual Can Opener**, a device promising the brute strength of a gorilla and the precision of a Swiss watch. Little did I know, I was about to be bamboozled by this tin-can tormentor.**Day 1:** The Gorilla Grip entered my kitchen like a hero in a cape. It boasted a sturdy design and a grip so mighty, it could supposedly open cans with the mere flex of a finger. I believed I had found the Excalibur of can openers.**Day 2 to 4:** I was on a can-opening spree. Beans, soup, tomatoes—you name it, I opened it. The Gorilla Grip was performing like an Olympic champion, and I was beginning to think we might have a lifelong partnership.**Day 5:** The honeymoon phase ended abruptly. The once-powerful grip began to slip, like a gorilla trying to peel a banana with buttered fingers. It managed to open a can of peas but left jagged edges that could have been used as medieval torture devices.**Day 10:** The Gorilla Grip started showing signs of severe exhaustion. It whimpered at the sight of a can of chunky chicken soup. The handle, once firm and reliable, now wobbled like a newborn giraffe. My dreams of culinary efficiency were rapidly fading.**Month 2:** I should have taken it as a sign when the Gorilla Grip refused to open a can of pineapple. It groaned and strained, then made a sound reminiscent of a dying walrus. The handle snapped off entirely, transforming my mighty can opener into a pathetic, impotent piece of scrap metal.**Month 4:** In a desperate attempt to resurrect my fallen hero, I tried every trick in the book: oiling the gears, whispering sweet nothings, and even a small prayer to the kitchen gods. But the Gorilla Grip was beyond salvation. It had become a paperweight of epic disappointment, mocking me from its place in the drawer. In conclusion, the **Gorilla Grip Heavy Duty Handheld Manual Can Opener** is the Shakespearean tragedy of kitchen tools. It promised the strength of a thousand gorillas but delivered the fragility of a soap bubble. If you’re looking for a can opener that will shatter your dreams and leave you with jagged edges—both literal and metaphorical—look no further. Otherwise, spare yourself the heartbreak and seek your can-opening solace elsewhere.Farewell, Gorilla Grip. You were the king of broken promises.

Works great. Easy to use and it’s multi functionality is cool. My wife has small hands and says the gripping is easy for her as well.
