    Solid, Well-Designed, Well-Built Mobility Device. I bought a second!
This is a solid, well-designed, well-built, mobility device. I love it so much that I bought a second one not even a month after I bought the first! I bought the first one because I lost the use of my legs 4 months ago and was getting ready to start to driving. I am not a paraplegic, I have feeling in in my legs but they don’t work very well. I spent a lot of time researching hand controls for my car and found the set I wanted. I was excited to get some independence back and was thinking of all the ways I could speed up my rehabilitation process with this new freedom when it hit me like a ton of bricks: I had no idea how I was going to get from the trunk of the car where I’d need to store my wheelchair up to the driver’s seat. I can’t stand up, much less walk eve a single step. Obviously, crawling on pavement that’s been baking in the hot New Mexico all day was not a viable option. More than that, I needed something that I can fold up, pull across my lap, and store in the passenger or back seat while I’m driving. I found this rollator (a term I’d never heard before) on Amazon and decided to give it a shot.Mind you, I am a 6’1″, 300 pound, muscular guy with some rolls on the side. If I wasn’t a band geek in high school I’d have been an offensive lineman. So I need something that’s gonna hold up. This device was built to do just that!So here’s how I use it for my car. I keep in the garage next to the car while I’m at my house, or in the trunk when I get out of the car at my destination. It collapses down to a very reasonable size which makes it easy to store in both locations. When I roll up to the trunk, I get the Nitro and transfer into it from my wheelchair. I fold my wheelchair and lift it into the trunk. Then I scoot myself from the trunk up to the driver’s side door. I transfer into the driver’s seat, fold up the rollator and use one hand grab the handle, lift it up (which folds the rollator in the same motion, a brilliant design!) and onto my lap. Due to my size I have more upper body strength than most people, an average-sized person would likely need two hands to life it due more to its large awkward shape than its weight. Once I’m pulling it across my lap however, that same unusual shape makes it easier to navigate it around my steering wheel and shift knob and place it in the passenger seat. Then I’m ready to drive! On a good day and after a week or two of practice, I’ve got to where I can do all of this 58.7 seconds! If I want to place it in the back seat because I have a passenger, it’s a little harder to do. In fact I would reckon that most people would struggle greatly with this as it is quite difficult for me. It might take several weeks of specific therapy to build up the strength if you don’t have it already. I would recommend having your passenger place it in the back seat if they are physically capable, or have them ride in the back seat if they are not. Make sure to have them place it back in the passenger seat when you drop them off or you’re gonna have a bad time!I bought a second one because both of the showers in my home are located on the second floor. That’s sixteen steps I have to crawl up and then about 20 feet on the hardwood floor that I have to crawl across before I can get to a shower. To say it was painful to accomplish that second stretch is a gross understatement. So now I can crawl up the stairs, lift myself into my handi-dandy Nitro rollator, and roll myself to the bathroom. I love it!Pro tip: While being used in the seated position, it is much easier to steer going backwards than forwards. Sometimes I even use it to roll myself into a gas station if I’m in too much pain to get my wheelchair out of the trunk!Bottom line, this rollator has improved my quality of life by a huge amount. Completely worth every penny.Pros: Lightweight, extremely easy to fold, removable zipper pouch, comfortable handles, comfortable seat, folds to a relatively small size, looks nice for what it’s worth.Cons: Hard to steer while rolling forward in a seated position. This is outside the design parameters so I didn’t knock its star-rating. Might be too heavy/awkwardly shaped for some smaller-than-average people to lift. But then again if you’re a smaller person you probably don’t need the hefty 300 pound weight capacity offered by such a large rollator. Again, not knocking it on that. Some people say the brakes aren’t reliable for long term use, however I hardly use them since I’m seated at all times when using. When I have had a need to use them, they’ve worked great and I’m not a small guy.So there you have it. If you need a 300 lb capacity heavy duty rollator/walker, I think you’ll be hard pressed to find a better one than this.

    Excellent – choose this!
After extensive research, purchased this walker/rollator for 91 year old mother. You never know if the right choice, but hope for the best (especially since this is not returnable). Luckily, an EXCELLENT choice …mother loves it. It is well made, doesn’t have the cables hanging out where they can get caught on something (thank goodness – this is a really great feature) and is very maneuverable. Seat and adjustable seat back…comfortable. Nice little mesh bag to carry stuff.HOWEVER, its’ claim to fame (and deserving of recognition) is how it folds up and is still maneuverable and stable (I’m sure everyone knows it’s not designed to be used all the time in a semi “folded” position). An elderly person with arthritis and mobility issues (as my mother) can easily grab the handle in the center of the seat and lift…folding it such that she can roll it through narrow doorways (she also folds it into a narrow position to have it right next to bed …and then rolls it easily from the bedside to open floor area). Then, push the seat back down into locked position. VERY easy. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful this feature is. (The first time you’re trying to maneuver a walker/rollator in a tight space, you’ll be grateful…and there are ALWAYS tight spaces at some point). She can also put things on the seat to carry them from place to place. She can sit in seat when in kitchen doing “stuff”, sits in seat and is comfortable out on patio when taking her dog out, etc., etc….Additionally, I’ll note that I can lift it into, and out of, the back seat of car (I’m 72) when needing to take her to doctor, etc. (that’s a 4-door car). Note: when totally in “folded” position, it stays locked so doesn’t try to open up when loading/unloading from vehicle. Just set it on ground and push down on handles and it will start “unfolding” and open up. Directions included with walker/rollator explain this.I did purchase a Nitro cane holder attachment (comes in 2 pieces … the cane “clip” and a bottom rest for the foot of the cane) as well as a “hook” attachment (S-shaped with Velcro) to hang her purse or bag on. I will note I couldn’t find a cup holder of any kind that would work (appears the Nitro “sprint” model has a cup holder attachment point). I ended up retrofitting the cup holder made for the Nitro Sprint model by using Velcro wrap, the bottom/foot rest of the cane holder (the cup holder sits on the cane rest and then I wrapped Velcro around the cup and rollator frame). Not elegant, but it’s secure. The cup holder also holds her over-sized cell phone. FYI – regarding the cane holder … the “clip” portion of the cane holder securely holds her cane so I was able to leverage using the bottom/foot rest of the cane holder when doing my retrofit for the cup holder.Quick point … observe the main frame is not round (so it can hide cables), thus it’s more difficult to find generally available walker/rollator accessory attachments so keep that in mind. However, I could either get what I needed, or came up with a retrofit. Like the other features so much I’d still buy it again. So, the manufacturer let us down on a cup holder mount for this model, but I figured out a workaround and didn’t take a star off since because of it. (Maybe they’ll read this and fix their faux pas. LOL)I seldom write reviews, but felt this was deserving of it (and the price was reasonable). Final note … waited over a month, with my mother constantly using it, before writing review.

I love how sturdy and maneuverable this walker is. The large front wheels are good on most surfaces (even our gravel driveway) and don’t come to a sudden stop when they encounter a pebble. Also very easy to close and stays locked closed but easy to press open. Comfortable to sit on when necessary. I highly recommend this walker.

Ready assembled and immediately life-changing. Changing from a walking stick gave less pain, better posture and the confidence to walk further with a seat to rest on. Folds easily and light enough to lift onto bus or into boot of car. Easy to adjust, solidly made, rolls smoothly, well finished and looks smart.

If you don’t like some attention, then don’t buy this rollator! Everywhere I go with it people want to know about it (where I got it, etc.). One lady even took a picture of it to show her Dad! It rolls smoothly, has great breaks and an extra big seat. It’s nice and quiet. It’s very light too, so getting it in and out of a vehicle is easy! I recommend this to anyone and everyone!
